As much as I agree with him being capped by the rule of law and the constitution, and the need for the institutions to do their job, I felt let down by him admitting his frustrations so blatantly in the national TV. He is the authority, the center and him standing there so helplessly just sent panic across the whole nation.
He should bark, chest thump, shout, threaten and be seen to be in control like uncle Magu down-south.
The constitution limits him right, but he still has a lot at his disposal, he has the NIS that he should be using to gather intelligence on the corrupt cartels and fight them through other means without creating much fireworks.
I don't even know what am complaining about, hey people we have a situation and must deal with it as a nation. Seeing those institutional heads passing the buck at each other so defensively, dampened my spirit on this war. The judicially blaming it on the investigators and lack of resources to hasten cases, police head burying his head on the sand so shamelessly...... people we have it on our hands.
Anyway it's a good start, has generated a nationwide debate, however not sure what impact this will have, or the outcome, or the way forward but let's talk, scream, vent our anger, shout....somewhere down the bumpy ride, it might get better.
Uncle Magu isn't barking, he is a real bulldog. If you get the wrong side of uncle Magu, you will be sorry that you have ever imagined.
Back to Kenya.
You guys need to drop your constitution, its not working. But Uhuru has disgraced Kenya today, this will create lot of headlines across the world and may scare foreign investors.
He should step down, he is clueless. Does he know what kind of damage he has suffered Kenya's image both regionally and internationally?
