Unachofanya ni siasa tu bila kutumia facts, wacha hizo hadithi za mtafanya mtafanya, mara mahakama ya mafisadi. Nataka facts, kwamba ni viongozi wangapi wa nyanja ya juu ambao Magu amefunga gerezani kwa ufisadi, zaidi ya kushtukiza watendaji wa chini.
Sisi hapa mawaziri wanne wamepigwa chini kwa kutajwa tu kwenye ufisadi. Yaani ukitajwa tu, hata haisubiriwi uthibitisho, unapigwa chini na ndivyo isemavyo katiba yetu.

Mafisadi wote walioitafuna nchi yenu bado wanapeta, wengi wapo kwenye uongozi wa sasa bado mnaimba kuhusu mahakama ya mafisadi.

Hadi mzikamate hizo nyangumi hamna kitu, makamate na kutia ndani mafisadi wakuu waliokua wanaitafuna nchi na wametajwa kwenye kashfa hizo kubwa kubwa, japo wanapeta tu leo hii. Kumkamata kamishna na wafanyi kazi wa benki, bado sana.

Hata sisi tuna samaki kama hao waliohukumiwa, katibu mkuu wa wizara ya utalii, lakini hadi nione waziri aliyekuwa anawapa hawa maagizo leo hii, awe ananyea debe gerezani hapo ndio nitajua hapa kwetu tumepiga hatua ya kweli.


Former Tourism permanent secretary Rebecca Nabutola and former Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) boss Achieng Ong’ong’a have been ordered to pay a Sh500,000 fine each or serve one year in jail after losing an appeal against their conviction for defrauding the ministry of Sh8.9 million.

Appeal Judge Grace Macharia penalised the two government officials on a charge of wilful failure to follow procurement rules but quashed earlier sentences for conspiracy to defraud.

A tour operator, Duncan Muriuki, who was convicted alongside the officials and had been jailed for seven years without the option of a fine was, however, set free by Judge Macharia, who ruled that prosecutors had not proved any case against him.

VERDICT OVERRULED

The judge overruled a magistrate's verdict in which Mr Muriuki had been ordered to refund Sh800,000 to the government or serve an additional year in jail.

The three had been charged in May 2009 following recommendations by the then Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission, now the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission.

The case involved investigations into the illegal payments of money to a tour company that coordinated a visit to the Mara by former President Mwai Kibaki and other top government officials.

According to prosecutors, procurement procedures were flouted in awarding the tender to the firm that organised the tour. They blamed the PS and the former KTB boss for failing to follow laid-down regulations.

“The permanent secretary participated in appointing the said tour company and indeed communicated the appointment to the Catering and Tourism Development Levy Trustees.

“She also issued instructions for payment of a further Sh400,000 to the said tour company despite the fact that the sum of Sh8,925,444, which was highly exaggerated, had not been accounted for. She was negligent,” the judge said.

Ms Nabutola was later charged with abuse of office and wilful failure to comply with the law relating to procurement.

Mr Ong’ong’a faced similar charges, with an alternative charge of abuse of office.

He was charged with fraudulently making payment from public revenues for services not rendered.

I almost cried when a tipsy PRESIDENT whined that ameshindwa kufanya kazi...Lookingg back UK never wanted to president.H e was pushed on because of the ICC case.He had all the chances to to be a great President,but instead chose to a tribal President.I commend him for pushing on with some of the projects that were hatched during the grand coalition government of Kibaki/Odinga

Mimi sibishi, naiweka jinsi ilivyo... Vita dhidi ya ufisadi ni vigumu sana na vinahitaji kila mtu ahusike bila kuelekeza kidole kule au huku. Ufisadi umekithiri Afrika, ni kama laana fulani ambayo tuliachiwa halafu tatizo kubwa sisi wanafiki wa kutupwa, kila mmoja hujiona yeye msafi kuliko pamba na kuelekeza kidole kwa mwenzie.

Vita dhidi ya ufisadi lazima tuhusike sote, tulaani sote na tuonyeshe kwa matendo. Leo hii nenda hapo TRA wakufanyie assessment halafu wakuambie unafaa kulipa milioni tano, lakini kiaina wanaweza kurekebisha ili ulipe milioni mbili na wao washkaji uwape milioni moja, niambie na naomba uwe mkweli, ni Watanzania wangapi watang'ang'ania kulipa hizo milioni tano ambazo ndio rasmi. Halafu hapo Magufuli hata apige kelele kivipi ama ashtukize kutwa nzima, hawezi akabadilisha hulka ya watu.

Hapa Kenya taswira ndio hiyo, sote tupo tayari kulaani tena kwa makelele, lakini hakuna yupo tayari kuchukua hatua ya mwanzo. Leo hii wapinzani ambao wanapiga makelele sana, wao kila mmoja amehusishwa na ufisadi kwa njia moja au nyingine wakati akiwa ndani ya serikali, halafu kikubwa tena kwa unafiki wa kifisi wapo tayari kuwapokea wanaofutwa kazi serikalini kwa ufisadi. Kuna mama mmoja aliyekua waziri, anaitwa Ngilu, alifutwa kwa ufisadi, wamempokea kwenye upinzani kama shujaa.

Rais Uhuru kwa kweli vita dhidi ya ufisadi naona kama vimemshinda, anaonekana kulemewa na lawama zote lazima tumuelekeze, lakini pia sisi wenyewe lazima tujiulize kama kweli tunahaja ya kupigana na ufisadi au ni makelele tu. Leo hii kila anayefutwa na serikali anapokelewa kwa shangwe na watu wake na kufanywa shujaa. Kama ilivyokua Tanzania kipindi cha mama Tibaijuka.

Hali ni mbaya Afrika, mara nyingi huwa napitia jukwa lenu la siasa kujikumbushia mambo ya Bongo, na leo hii nikakumbana na uzi wa jamaa ambao nimeuweka hapa chini, kamfuate umdhihirishie jinsi Tanzania ya leo haina ufisadi.

Kuna Rushwa na kukomoana saana katika awamu ya Utawala wako huu Mh. Rais. Jipange upya Mkulu, shirikisha watangulizi wako watakushauri jinsi ya kuendesha Nchi.
