Aibu!
Kwa hiyo nakubaliana na Mwana-JF, MwanaFalsafa hapo juu kwamba the solution is to have a strong Opposition Party, rather than an alliance of weak ones. Under present circumstances, that party is obviously CHADEMA. Mrema and his TLP and other mamluki parties joined in Tarime to try to defeat Chadema, but they failed in that bye-election. Since then Chadema has made strides and was only narrowly defeated by "mbinu" in Busanda and Biharamulo.
There appears to be attempts, supported by some JF Members to discredit Freeman Mbowe on the basis of the fact that he is not a graduate of a University. Those of us who have heard him analyse national issues rate him much higher than any PhD holder. His cogency and marshalling of arguments, his persuasiveness and presentation are comparable to any of the leading politicians of Tanzania. Above all, his charisma is fantastic.
Other JF Members blame him for borrowing from a bank or financial institution to run his business. This is absurd. At least in this instance, Mbowe is not a "fisadi". He is one of the few politicians in Tanzania who doesn't have to be an M.P. in order to live. He is not a beggar. His is a mission to serve as an ardent serious patriot.
Above all, Mbowe talks in sympathy with the wanyonge and is leading the one party whose policies clearly deal with the poverty issue. Even Mwalimu Nyerere noted Chadema's stance and praised it once. At that time it was led by Edwin Mtei, and it hasn't changed.
Therefore the answer to the question uf Unity of Political Parties is join Chadema. Either the small parties, which are not "mamluki" of CCM or those Tanzanians who are in parties like those of Mrema, should quit and join.
