USAF to Unveil B-21 Stealth Bomber in December.

Andrew Hunter, the assistant Air Force secretary for acquisition, technology and logistics, gave no more details, not even a location for the rollout, which is expected to mark the first public view of the aircraft, which has been developed in near-total secrecy. He spoke Tuesday at the Air and Space Forces Association’s Air, Space & Cyber conference outside Washington, D.C.

Northrop Grumman is building the B-21 at a factory in Palmdale, California. The aircraft is expected to make its first flight in 2023.

The rollout week coincides with the Reagan National Defense Forum, when dozens of top military officials are already in California, about one hour from Palmdale.

1st point- Stealth. B21 is very difficult to detect vs B2 . "Indeed, as then Air Force chief of staff Gen. Norton Schwartz told the House Armed Services Committee in 2012, even the B-2 is starting to lose its ability penetrate hostile airspace. “The technology on which they were designed with respect to signature management . . . is ‘80s vintage,” Schwartz told the committee, adding, “the reality is that the B-2 over time is going to become less survivable in contested airspace.”

2nd point- B21 will be smaller than B2 spirit, with greater range, and able to enter contested airspaces compared to B2 spirit.

"Unlike an F-22 or F-35, which are designed to operate in an environment where the enemy might be aware of their presence, the B-2 and B-21 are designed to avoid detection altogether.

Stealth ni kua "low observable,sio invisible".

Marekani wakati wa Vita kule Serbia walikua na F117 24 Ila ni moja tu ambayo waserbia walibahatisha kuitungua na nyingine ziliendelea na mission kama kawaida plus kulikua na B-2 stealth bomber ikifanya mission lkn hizo air defense hazikuwahi kuidetect.

Desert storm na Operation Iraq freedom F117 pamoja na B-2 stealth zilifly sorties kibao lakini hakuna ambayo adui alifanikiwa kuitungua.
