UTAFITI: Nairobi imetajwa kwenye Top 10 ya majiji yenye foleni zinazokera duniani

Nakumbuka kuna ile list iliyolewa ya fastedt rising emerging economies......
Nchi zenye zilikua zinakua kwa kasi zilikua zimetajwa zote kenya ilikua kwa top 10, lakini wengine walikua wanashangaa mbona nchi kama Tz haikuingizwa kwa list ilhali inakua kwa kasi kushinda kenya.... Kumbe Tz ilitolewa kwa list maksudi sababu haiezi ikalinganishwa na hizo nchi zengine, ndio ni kweli wanakua kwa kasi lakini bado hao ni lightweight (nikiomba msamiati wa boxing) , hawajafika threshold ya kuingia ring moja na heavyweghts.... wakiongeza kilo kadhaa miaka ya kesho ndo mtaingia kea heavyweights.....

Unaeza kuta kuna miji mingi zaidi ambayo inafoleni mbaya xaidi mara dufu lakini hazikuingizwa kwa list kwasababu uchumi wa hii miji haujafika kiwango flani
Chalii acha madharau basi mbona unatushusha down sana wakati tuna come hapo nyi mmefika,halafu mshukuru si watu wa business tunakuja sana Nai..kuchukua mzigo ndomana tunaongeza jam na kuwapeni pesa..
 
It is a mark of recognition, cities like Dar were too insignificant to be considered. The one talking of fyovers should tell us whether Pretoria does not have them
My friend, flyovers aren't the only solution to traffic jams,
Kuna mambo mengi yanatakiwa yafanyike kupunguza msongamano wa magari barabarani,
Sijui idadi ya magari iliyopo nai currently but kwa simple facts ni kuwa


Nairobi is 270 sq mi, with population of 4mn people,
Dar is 614 sq mi (~nai 3times) , with 5mn inhabitants,
Sasa hapo linganisha vitu kama population density,
Let's assume the no of motor vehicles are relatively the same between the two cities.
You can imagine whose going to suffer more..au vipi..
Actually cities can build as many flyovers as possible but what about destinations??

I appreciate Dar for bringing things like BRT, for sure it was a geneous move,
morogoro road sasa hivi haina jam kabisa kama before kwa sababu currently many people don't see a reason to drive to city center wakati wanaweza commute DART wakafika comfortably within 20-30mns toka home ~20km away kwa 0.3$ tu..

To decongest cities, besides miundombinu, governments must think of ways to reduce the use of private cars in cities by vigorously improving public transport systems.

Tanzania kwa sasa iko na gdp/capita ya $840. miaka kumi ijayo mkiendelea kukua kiunchumi mtakua mnaingia $1040 ambayo ndo ni middle income ya chini kabisa, hapo sasa kama nchi iko na mwongozo mzuri, utakuta wananchi wengi wanauwezo mkubwa, wataanza hata kujijengea barabara za kwenda mitaa yao wenyewe bila ata kungoja serikali, mara makampuni mengi yatakua yanajileta yenyewe, mwishowe unakuta kila mtu anataka kwenda Dar, hapo ndo jam huanza sasa, kila mtu amenunua kagari kake anataka kujionyesha
 
Hizo matatu ndo zinaleta shida,
Zingetafutiwa alternative, kama Tz walivyojenga lane za mwendo kasi. Hutaona jam tena
 
ndo maana unaona tunajenga ma fly-over kila siku lakini bado hayatoshi, magari yanazidi kuongezeka kuliko kasi ya ujenzi wa barabara.....

Lakini hizi ni changamoto za emerging nations, tanzania haijafika, mkitoka LCD muingie Middle income mtaingia kwa list tu.... Angalia hizo nchi zenye ziko kwa hio list, miji tano ni ya kutika nchi za BRICS, hizo nchi zengine zote zishawai tajwa kama emerging markets to watch for, the only one missing ni mexico, hizi shida za mlolongo wa magari tutazitatua tu, project ni nyingi, tutazipanua barabara hata kama ni kujenga miji mipya kama akina tatu city,Konza, petro city mombasa ili tupunguze waokuja ndani ya nairobi, miaka michache badae miji kama machakos na malindi ndo watakua na shida za jam
hawaelewi hiyo kitu...hawa jamaa hufikiria tu kwa urefu wa pua zao
