The word of God is not equivalent with the Bible...in the Scriptures, we encounter God through various confessions of different ages, from different people, with different ideologies, different times and contexts...all these point to us how people form different times and context understood the dynamics of God acting in the history. Yes, not all is what God spoke to us; even Paul says, "this is not from the Lord" meaning it was his own opinion. Many this things were peoples' opinions, but in all the weakness, social contexts etc, the point the picture of this relationship of God with the people. The context of the OT was patriarchal, make dominated societies and that too features in the many parts of the Bible even the NT. Some parts like the Psalms are people's prayers, hymns, lament, thanksgiving, liturgy spoken by the people to God. But in all these confusion, ultimately, through Christ, we know what the WORD means; Christ became the WORD, is the WORD, is the LIGHT, is the WAY, the TRUTH and THE LIFE. So stop these nonsense of discrimination by quoting specific scriptures and call them the WORD OF GOD. Yes because it favors the patriachal society in which we live...
