1-Initiating and Managing
Training Seminars and
Workshops
2-Organizing and
Managing Conferences
3-Managing the production
of AAPAMs publications,
such as journals,
newsletters, research
monographs and books;
4-Being in charge of
AAPAMs Library and
stocking it with books,
journals, papers, reports
and other materials
relevant to African Public
Administration and
Management;
5-Initiating and coordinating AAPAMs
consultancy services;
6-Creating awareness
among the public through
mass media on AAPAMs
activities and
programmes;
7-Marketing AAPAM
products; and
8-Any other duties that the
Secretary General may
determine.
i) Have a Bachelors
degree in Social
Sciences, Business
Administration or
equivalents from a
recognized
University.
(ii) Have training
knowledge and
experience in public
sector management.
(iii) Have capabilities
for initiating and
managing relevant
public sector capacity
building training
seminars and
workshops.
(iv) Have Postgraduate training in
Programme
Management.
(v) Have excellent
oral and written
communication skills
and good
interpersonal
relations.
(vi) Be proficient on
the computer and
excellent

(vii) Have broad
knowledge of
research and
consultancy work.
(viii) Be self driven,
highly motivated,
energetic and a team
player; and
(ix) Knowledge of
French will be an
added advantage.
Salary: AAPAM will offer a competitive basic salary and allowances together with a
bonus package related to performance.
Duration of Employment: A Contract of two (2) years. Other subsequent contracts by
mutual agreement.
