Walinzi wa viongozi (mataifa mbalimbali) reconstructed

Icadon, niliziona hizo picha na nilitaka kukuuliza bila ya shaka the same question jamaa zako wanauliza. Hasa ile ambapo gari la wazi la Rais limezungukwa na pikipiki kibao.. it is the most unsecured car ever for a VIP..

Nadhani tunachoweza kusema ni kuwa inapokuja ulinzi na usalama wa Rais, we have to be almost at par with any other nation.

Picha zinazoshabiiana.

i love JF...........

Tunaendelea kula somo

Physical Appearance

Most people, if you asked them to describe a modern bodyguard will conjure up two of the archetypal stereotypes. The first of these might be some large gorilla/gangster-like character, with fat fingers festooned with heavy gold rings. An intimidating figure that speaks in words of one syllable, clearing people out of the path of his client with a grunt and an elbow rather than an "excuse me" and looking like he could not run twenty yards without stopping to catch breath. The second stereotype will probably be the American Secret Service type, large pair of sunglasses, a curly wire leading to an earpiece, and a hand inside a jacket ready to withdraw a machine pistol whilst talking into his sleeve.

Others have no idea what a modern bodyguard is or does. They assume that the security staff they see at music or boxing events are bodyguards. These people are not bodyguards; they may well be trained in crowd management functions and may work part-time as bouncers in bars and clubs, but they are not bodyguards. The reasons for people having these popular misconceptions are not hard to find. The heavies employed in advertising, exhibitions and soap style television are purposely easy to spot. Their already high profile is often over emphasised.

The man in the street sees real bodyguards working every day, if not in the flesh then on the television news. Seeing them is one thing but realising that they are security professionals is another. They are seen but not noticed because they strive to maintain a low profile. Not only do they look normal, their suit fits and their knuckles don't drag along the ground! The reasons that these professionals can go unnoticed are that they devote a lot of their time into maintaining a low profile. Because they do not look like the public's idea of a bodyguard this actually helps them as they go about their days work.

So, who are these modern bodyguards that we generally do not notice, and what makes them so special? The twenty-first century bodyguard is often found in a smart but neutrally toned business suit, presenting a discreet and subdued image to the outside world. He is a highly skilled and motivated individual, constantly assessing potential risks and weighing these against his skills and the measures he must take to minimise them. He is fit, not overweight, and an expert in first aid, fire fighting, defensive driving, weapon systems
, unarmed combat and communication skills. He will be well trained in all of the skills and drills that he uses daily providing peace of mind and a safe environment for his principal.

Bodyguard Training Vehicle Search Skills
90 percent of all kidnappings and assassinations happen in or very near the VIP's car. Vehicle Search is an essential skill

Vehicle Security and Searching

While working as a Close Protection Officer you should carry out a search of all vehicles prior to using them. This search will be carried out whether or not the vehicle has been left unattended; however, if the vehicle has been left unattended then the search will be much more cautiously and thoroughly carried out. Essentially, there are two types of search - cursory and full systematic.

Cursory searching

The cursory search should be carried out EVERY TIME you enter the vehicle. This is nothing more than a scan of the vehicle's surrounding area. You should examine the underside (which is best viewed from a distance), the wheel arches (which must be searched from a close point), along with the locks and windows to look for any evidence of tampering. Cursory searches are quick once you are experienced and can often be done with such a casual low profile hardly anyone will notice what you are doing.

Systematic searching

The full systematic search is a completely different matter: this is a thorough and methodical search that takes time and manpower. It is normally carried out only when the vehicle has been out of our care and control, e.g. away for servicing, or if it's a new car.

What are we searching for?

We are searching for any signs of tampering such as brake or fuel lines cut. The result of faulty brakes is obvious. A cut fuel line would make us break down as part of some kind of attack or robbery. A small amount of explosives could kill all of the occupants, a bug could transmit all of the occupant's conversations, and a small transmitter could give away the exact location of the vehicle at all times. Your full systematic search should take all of this into account.

The Team Leader

This person may or may not be the Bodyguard to the main Principal as well as being in overall charge of the protective operation. The Team Leader's job is to ensure that everyone has all of the information that they need to enable them to carry out their function; he is usually the one that liaises with the Principal and the contracting security company if there is one. On most assignments, the Team Leader has the authority to hire and fire team personnel.

The Bodyguard

Usually abbreviated to BG, he is a member of the PES (discussed below). However, his role is quite different; while everyone on a team is in theory a bodyguard, i.e. their function, whether they are drivers or they guard the garden gate, is that of guarding the Principal. There is only one BG per principal. There may be a day BG and a night BG but generally there is only one BG on one principal at any one time. The other 'Bodyguards' are referred to as the PES. The BG is the person that will be in close contact with the Principal at all times. His job is to shield the Principal from any danger, i.e. to give 'body cover'. The BG forms the inner cordon of defence and is responsible for seeing that no threat gets past him and to the Principal. When working as part of the PES, the BG is the one that never stands and fights. He runs away (with the Principal of course), giving body cover as he does so. This role can be (dependant upon the situation) in complete contrast to that of the PES.

The Bodyguard is the 'main man' or woman; he is the one with the ultimate responsibility for the welfare of his charge He and the Principal are at the centre of concentric circles of protection (concentric circles have the same centre). He is the last piece of protection and he puts himself between every conceivable threat and the Principal. The other circles are made up of the PES and the RST, which we will learn about below.

The Personal Escort Section (PES)

The PES can have different functions depending on the situation in which they find themselves. Generally speaking, they provide an outer cordon of defence as opposed to the BG's inner cordon. In some situations their function may be the same as the BGs, that is, give body cover and get away from the danger. In other situations, their function may be to attack the threat and give the BG time to get the Principal away from the danger.

Again, depending upon the situation, the PES may be as close to the Principal as the BG; in others, they may be much further away. For instance, outside a venue in a car ready to be called upon if needed.

The Security Advance Party (SAP)

The makeup of the SAP will vary from one assignment to another; some may have one or two members that are dedicated to advance work and do nothing else. Others may only use an SAP when they have a particular need. Basically, the function of the SAP is to ensure that their are no surprises for the Principal while he is out and about on his social and business schedule. The SAP will travel in advance of the Principal, checking that routes and venues are OK. They may do this months in advance and it may include, for example, the planning of an overseas trip, one which they may do minutes in advance (it may be that the Principal wants an impromptu trip to a local restaurant with which the team are not familiar). The SAP carries out an important function; it needs to have excellent communication skills, exercise good personal security and be trained in all aspects of search.

The Residence Security Team (RST)

The RST, as the name suggests, look after the physical security of anywhere that the Principal is resident. This could be a house, a hotel, or a yacht. Many principals secure all of their residences with an RST, even if they are only resident for a few weeks of the year. This is where most fledgling bodyguards will serve their Bodyguard apprenticeship. The RST will need to have the skills to use the modern equipment that is now used to assist the security of premises. They need to work hard and hope that they are 'noticed' and eventually move on to better things. Members of the RST will often be required to carry out route reconnaissance or to do some SAP work. Mess these tasks up and you are destined to 'stay in the garden'. Do a good job and the next time someone in the PES has a day off you might get to stand in and impress.

Drivers

While all members of the team should be able to drive, often the role of driver is a dedicated one. That is, someone is employed solely as a driver. This driver may or may not be trained in close protection. When they are not, it is a crime, because sometimes the most effective weapon that a close protection team has is the vehicle that they are in. In an emergency situation, it is much better to have a close protection trained driver that can work with the team rather than some fat chauffeur who is only employed because the Principal likes the way he wears his peaked cap and keeps the car clean!

Driving is a specialist role and if someone on the team is a dedicated driver then those drivers need also to be dedicated to building the defensive and evasive driving skills that a team may one day need. Of course, a smooth drive and a clean car are also important.

MWKJJ na ICADON!
Nakubaliana na nyinyi kimsingi kwa yale yote mliyo yasema, ni kweli we need to be more serious linapokuja suala la Ulinzi wa viongozi wetu, sasa linapokuja suala la kuji-compare hatutakuwa tunawatendea haki vijana wetu kwa kuwa-compare na SS, MOSSAD,KBG, walinzi wa papa and the likes, still we are far from them!, even though tutaweza waangalia ili tujifunze na tuige kwa yale yalio ndani ya uwezo wetu, nimeshajionea motorcade za ,Museveni na Kibaki (ambao tunaweza jilinganisha as much as tuna-share ufanano wa mambo mengi), honestly, we are very far from them!, halina ubushi hilo!

Icadon!

jpypah.jpg

Hapa kuna matatizo on all points

RAIS WETU hana:

2) Kwa jinsi mapikipiki yalivyojazana pale sidhani kama kuna uwezekano wa ku evade assailants and escape as soon as it should be

Pili for obvious reasons hilo gari alilokwemo ras linaonekana kwanza lenyewe ni threat in terms of security kwa sababu ikitokea incident how fast can they protect MKWERE bila kumdhuru?

I dis agreee

NOT GOOD ENOUGH kwa bajeti wanayopewa...rais amekuwa exposed sana pale Taifa jana.

halafu tazama huyu na suti yake ya ofisni...kama kweli hawa jamaa walifanya kazi yao then kwanza wle watu wa TV wote wangeondolewa....kama ishu ni kurusha matangazo then that is not our problem hilo ni tatizo la TIDO MHANDO na jamaa zake kule wizarani

DSC_7093.jpg

What makes you think hakuna mile ambaye anaweza kujifanya mwandishi au akatumiwa kukaa pale juu na zile camera za TV

Personally i think this was a serious breach na someone should take a hike

Kuhusu ayo Mapikipiki i know nothing kiukweli!, sijui ndio taratibu zilivyo au ndio upambaji tu wa Motorcade ya JK!

Ilo gari la mawasiliano/ku-jam mawasiliano sijui!, ila kama likiwepo na Ma-VIP wetu hawa walivyo watalaam wa kukata mitaa..du!, usiombe nyumba yko iwe karibu na saloon/kimada wke anapoishi, guess you will be off air daily!

Then security level employed inategemea threats, skills, uchumi etc wa nchi, kwetu hapa sijui kama tumefikia Level hiyo even though we need to!

Kma mimi nakuwa rais huwezi kuniuliza mara mbili nitachukua body guard yupi
