Life is a gift yes, but how can you punish someone for throwing a gift he didn't know he was to be given do you think he will appreciate it as a person who lets say worked his way to the gift?

The guy who betrayed jesus what was his purpose if his purpose in life was different than that of betraying jesus then why the prophecy of betrayal was known before?
