Naomba nianze kwa kunukuu kidogo maelezo mafupi kuhusu wasifu wa Isaac Maliyamungu na kwa nini ataendelea kukumbukwa. Natanguliza samahani kwa wasiojua lugha ya Kiingereza katika huu utangulizi, nitajaribu niwezavyo kutoa ufafanuzi tunavyoendelea.
Brigadier Isaac Maliyamungu
Isaac Maliyamungu was one of Idi Amin's most evil and feared Lieutenant who was in charge of quelling dissent in the army.
Before he joined the army, he had been a mere gatekeeper at Nyanza Textile Industries. At the time of the coup, he commandeered a tank with which he shot up the entrance to the Entebbe airport terminal, killing two priests.
After the coup he headed Amin's execution gangs, with unlimited power to execute anybody in the army, even officers senior to him. His modes of execution were as atrocious as anything imaginable. He was fond of disemboweling his victims.
Along with several other officers, he is known to have executed his victims by having them run over by tank. But perhaps the grisliest episode concerned Francis Walugembe, who had previously been Mayor of Masaka.
In September 1972, Walugembe was arrested, had his genitals cut off and was paraded through the streets before being killed and dismembered.
So violent and brutal was Malyamungu that even Amin once admitted fearing him believing he was going mad.

Mwaka 1971, mapinduzi ya kijeshi yalifanyika nchini Uganga yaliyomuondoa madarakani Rais wa kwanza wa nchi hiyo Dr. Milton Obote.
Mapinduzi aliyoyafanya Idi Amin Dada yalipokewa kwa shangwe kubwa na Baganda, kabila kubwa nchini Uganda, ambao hawakufurahia jinsi Rais wao wa kuchaguliwa Dr. Milton Obote alivyompiga vita Mfalme wao, Kabaka wa 35.
Mfalme huyo Kabaka Muteesa II ilibidi aikimbie nchi na kutorokea Uingereza kusalimisha maisha yake. Hivyo Baganda walimuona Idi Amin kama mkombozi na walisherehekea ujio wake kwa namna ambayo haikuwahi kushuhudiwa awali.
