What did you read in 2013?

You are writing like an old bibliophile professor friend of mine. Like EMT , he likes to scan books for only what he needs and does not read the full Monty anymore. He uses the table of contents and index extensively.

If I am reading for leisure, then I might read the whole book.

But if I am looking for a particular answer to an issue, then the index pages will help to locate the most relevant pages in which the issue is addressed. This is especially when the size of the book ni kama kitofali vile.

For example, last week I wanted to know why it is difficult to legally enforce both the U.S. antitrust law and the EU competition law against the OPEC oil cartel and using the index helped to locate the exact pages which discussed the issue.

The same would be for law reports.

Hahahaha, ukisoma hicho kitabu mwanzo mwisho nakununulia pipi kifua!
On a serious note, I think this is why indexes were invented. It is quite common for scholars particullarly to just read chapters (sometimes even a small section).

Nina #9 , nakitazama kila siku nashindwa kuanza. Sasa umenihamasisha nikisome then we can review it together. Nimependa #7 pia but I wonder how it would feel reading about the universe. Nahamasishwa zaidi na zile documentaries with gloomy blue pictures of glaxy tantacles. Napenda sana through the wormhole na documentaries zingine kama hizo.
The teaching of Bddah (#2) kikoje?

Bravo, you met your target! Nina 2,3,5 na 11. Game of thrones nina Series. Mi si mpenzi mkubwa wa non fiction kwa kweli... labda vitabu vya watoto. hahahaha
Mi nilijipangia 26 books (one every two weeks) nikajikuta na hiyo list full of pengo. Mwaka huu no target, just read read read. Rutashubanyuma I can't rely on reviews. They are so biased! bora hata nisome selected chapters in a book nipate picha mwenyewe kuliko kusoma review. But they are good in helping to select the next books to read.
