Uzinduzi wa NGR Dar-Tanga-Moshi wamesema treni itafika Musoma as a start! Kuna vijana wa jeshi wanasomea ujenzi wa reli katika SGR project.Well said mkuu. Ila kama unafatilia basi unajua kuwa serikali ina haha kutafuta financing ya SGR ya Northern circuit kuanzia Tanga port. Pia kuna SGR ya Mtwara kuelekea Mbamba bay. Hii nimeona kwenye bajeti ya mwaka huu imetengewa fedha ya upembuzi yakinifu na financial advisory.
Ila kuhusu upanuzi wa bandari za Tanga na Mtwara inaeleweka kazi inaendelea.

Hahahaha, hili daraja ni muhimu sana kuunganisha vijiji vilivyopo upande wa PILI wa Ziwa Victoria na Mwanza, wanekuwa wakivuka kwa mitumbwi na ferry zisikua na usalama wowote, na wengi wanepoteza maisha kwa kuzama katika ziwa Victoria. Sgr is just gauge ya reli,the section from Arusha to Musoma you should build the sgr not necessarily to be electric it could be jointed sgr.This sgr will jion the meter gauge from Arusha to Moshi to TangaBut how will SGR connect from Arusha to Tanga n Dar? SGR will come later!

MV Victoria is the largest passenger vessel carrying 1200 passengers and 200 tons of cargo it is almost 80m in length
MV Uhuru and MV Umoja have the same size in length both being train ferries ..the can carry upto 1180tonnes 22 wagons..so it means on train ferries we are tie..
We are also construncting a new passeneger ferry 1200 passengers 400 tonnes and can carry up to 20 cars ..meaning it will be the largest at 90meters

Ndio mtajua hamjui. Tanzania is bigger, safer and more firtile compared to Kenya but Kenya doubles it's economy? How?Yaani wewe ni kichaa kabisa. Unataka kufananisha Kisumu na Mwanza.
Kenya own only 6% of lake. While Tanzania 50%.
Ni kichaa pekee anaweza kuleta ubishi unaoleta humu.
So Kisumu boats zake zinaelekea wapi!?
Kunazo kama Mv.Norris (If i remember correctly) ambazo ilikua ni wagon-ferry na bado iko na deck ya kupakia contenaWewe hata huelewi kinachozungumzwa hapa, badala yake unazungumza vitu usivyojua. Wagon ferry haina kupanga containers, train inaingia kama ilivyo na kuvushwa ili kuendelea na safari ikifika port bell, Uganda.
