ED, from your perspective what would you define happiness as? What is happiness to you?
Lol. Is that possible?
hie neiwa, i'm glad you get it. have you found happiness?
It's not an easy subject i tell yah.... I myself trying to figure it out, to me it's spiritual..... I think happiness shall be fully attained once you rid yourself of all material attachments...
Hardly, that's why had to ask. The way you put it is like you have always been happy
What if they are all taken away, then your "happiness" is gone?
Can you really call temporal pleasures happiness?
I would ask then where do you get that energy or call it strength in the midst of such misery, where do you get that indestructible calmness?Happiness is the choice no matter how worse ur life seems to be. One day i was at muhimbili my uncle was hospitalized there after a car accident n lost his right hand, he was so depressed n worried about his new life experience of living without his hand, the other patient besides him was also hospitalized after an accident n lost his both hands, but he was very happy n thankful to God that he was alive, because he was the only passenger who survived in the accident, so i came to realize that the problems become bigger or small the way we perceive them.

I agree but think of this, i was told a story of Man, very rich with a huge estate. He was neither unduly happy nor sad or bored...in such case one would think he is peaceful....he still needed to feel alive, he told a friend to knock him in the head so he can feel something...lolExactly ,u cant drink a poison and expect someone else to die, though as humans sometimes we do have feelings, we feel awkward sometimes, holding grudges into our heart, but those feelings should not be permanent into our hearts

How can we arrive at complete state of happiness without depending on anything material?
