South africa has numerous minerals i.e gold,diamond,platinum etc.Nigeria has oil and huge population.Egypt has the pyramids and tourism.Kenya has none of the above yet it is just as famous as those countries,infact it can give them a run for their money.kenya is the only big economy in africa without the support of natural resources,what is even more interesting is that much of it lands are arid or semi arid.so what gives kenya so much oomph despite all those drawbacks.its PEOPLE ,there is something about kenyan people,they are the most hardworking,resilient,smart people you will find in africa,were it not for corruption we would be a second world country by now,we would be better than the brics,lol corruption was killing us..terrorist blow us up but we pick up and move on stronger.our neighbours hate on us but we continue to prosper,sometimes we fight amongest ourselves but we bury the hatchet and continue building the nation,politicians steals from us but our economy continues to grow,i think its God fovour,we have the lords favour or how else do you explain this..i never acknowledged what we have until i started visiting other african countries,very few african countries can match our infrastructure,central africa is the poorest region i have ever seen,from congo all the way to chad is a sorry state,roads are virtually non existence,west africa is another mess,from niger all the way to mauritania,only a few bright spots like ghana and ivory coast,lol ivory coast surprised me,the country is far much better than nigeria,nigeria is hellhole,i always wonder why they are full of bloated ego,lagos is a congested shithole littered with garbage everywhere,endless traffic,the air is always pregnant with stench,reckless vandalism everywhere,unsightly shacks everywhere,poor drainage..the list is endless...anyways back to kenya,the moment you land at jkia the atmosphere brightens up,the air becomes pregnant with expectations,there is that feeling that something big is about to happen,the pace of life is accellerating,the bussiness environment is conducive,there is always something for everyone if you are willing to work hard,multinationals are relocating to nairobi in droves,google,microsoft,ibm,cocacola,general motors,toyota,imf,worl bank,standard chartered bank are just some of the reputable international corporations in an endless list who have decided to base their headquarters for african base in nairobi.
