With those anti progressive credentials, Prof. Kabudi became a starlight within the corridors of power

That he can deploy his legal skills to inflict injustices upon us

So when the political establishment wanted a law don in the constitution drafting, they remembered their man: Professor Kabudi.

It was more of a reunion with the retired Chief Justice Augustine Ramadhan

And ultra conservative Sinde Warioba chaperoning the constitution drafting, it was a demoniac team crafted in hell

Their mission statement was to replicate most of the old constitution, repackage it with wordy and tedious explanations as if they distrusted the judiciary to make proper interpretations of the mother law.

Then restructuring the union government became the epic of their deceit

They refuse to recommend internal reforms in the local government averring it was no union matter!

So the opportunity to do something there was squandered by these regime leaning prodigals

The number of governments became a distraction

By controlling and shaping the content and the direction of the constitutional debate, we were oven baked goose

When it came to constitution of the election commission they lied that contributors were more keen on window dressing than substance

So name changing and violating the doctrine of separation of powers by packing the election commission with chief justices, speakers of the houses and a university professor Don was all was needed

Professor Kabudi successfully created a job for himself in the election commission

Or only for his legal fraternity

Little did Kabudi and the rest of the Warioba commission give a hoot about the doctrine of separation of powers as the hallmark of accountability

Nor did they consider a president making those appointments will still be hailing from one party

Appointment powers of the election commission by a president belonging from party in power is a major source of contention and Kabudi and co. never addressed it in their draft constitution

Most of presidential powers in other appointments were left intact with no effort to empower parliamentary vetting save for chief justice, chief secretary, premier among a handful
