Are you really sure he is worse than you and me let alone the international community whom you eagerly abase yourself for a morsel of bread?

There is a fast growing culture to label all of us as scholars in support of this administration reminding all and sundry that a very anemic self esteem is behind all of this.

For starters why buckle themselves in anonymous scholars? Could a minion such as Dr. Bana represent anybody really or only succeeding to display his folly?

Are we not a rathole like one Republican senator lambasted us awhile ago?

Why dub us Tanzanians while you are only expressing your own volition. This class representation smells of unjustifiable carte blanche!

Forgive our colleague for overzealousness. I am used to his regular releases of his catharsis. Enduring him keeps my patience on the right path of redemption.

IMF never orchestrated that economic meltdown in Europe but trade imbalances and lack of political union narrating why government expenditures in poor European countries are not arraigned.

The European poor nations are living beyond their means generating a chokehold national debts.

Do the IMF advised the poor to live beyond their means or to fail to compete with stronger economies such as the mighty Germany?

Are you really serious on this or you are simply testing the waters?

When will you learn to dole out a credit when it is due?

The problem of this Magufuli's dexterity is hypocrisy, period!

Paying five percent on gratuity cloak injustices on emoluments payment structure.

Constitutional office holders which Magufuli leads the queue grab 80% of their respective incumbents' gross salaries and it is untaxed!

Magufuli wants to believe taxing his one time lumpsum pension will assuage I justices inflicted upon underpaid public servants whose pension payment structure defies inflation and devaluation of the local currency while Magufuli's retirement perks despite being overall taxfree but they are pegged upon inflation index!

Perhaps the more conspicuous injustice is when all constitutional office holders are paid from the consolidated fund but not on pension schemes set aside for the rest.

If Magufuli is genuine on pension reforms he should revoke the discriminatory clauses I have covered above and let everybody who is a public servant join GPF and be treated in the same template.

Thereafter and only in this aspect I will join the caucus of rapturous ovation applauding genuine efforts to thwart preferential treatment and its consequential discrimination to cup it all.

Nyerere alimuwa na akili za kuweza hata kubadili uwongo kuwa ukwi. Mwinyi alikuwa mpole wajukuu wakiweza kumtania bila shida
Mkapa alikuwa mtu wa black and white. Kikwete alifurahia nafasi hiyo kubwa. Magufuli anawajua wote hao.
Wengine wanawaza sana waseme nn ili wanaopinga wasiwe wengi. Jambo jema ni kujua kuwa kuna watu wanajua mambo fulani kukushinda. Na hivo utakuwa makini kwa kila jambo lonalowahusu watu.

Forgetting about Dr Bana, Magufuli is leading by example. Our budget delivers our economic plan in three key ways.

First, by fixing specific problems in our tax system and introducing new form of taxes for both executive officers, parliamentarians, regional commissioners and district commissioners. So we can sustainably cover the government's responsibilities. This means combating tax avoidance, especially by multinationals with new measures to ensure everyone pays tax they should on what they earn in Tanzania, not avoid tax by shifting their profits offshore.

Second, by sticking to our plan for jobs and growth. Our government will continue investment in our national innovation and science agenda - to create our own ideas boom in every city, in every town, in every factory, farm and office including support for new start-up business.

Through our ten year industry plan, they will secure an advanced local manufacturing industry that will drive new jobs in Tanzania. More export opportunities will be opened up.

Third, by continuing to ensure the government lives within its means, to balance the budget. In this budget, government will continue to cut unnecessary waste and keep government spending under control to balance the budget overtime. Government will continue to target welfare abuse to protect our social safety net and ensure it is there for Tanzania's most vulnerable, in particular those with disabilities. And continue to responsibly invest in infrastructure like roads, standard gauge railway, dams and public transport and guarantee real, affordable funding for health and education services that Tanzania rely on.

Now tell me, what is hypocrisy of Magufuli's administration?

The level of taxation kills jobs and thwart economic growth let alone decelerating tax compliance rates.

A three year sentence for not picking a sales receipt is point in hand.

How many are we going to imprison before we are awaken to a reality tax rates too high.

Higher levels of taxation confirms a concession that official graft is not going anywhere but we frantically need heavy subsidy to sustain it.

Poor grades for your employers. They preach one thing but delivers something else!

You are prejudiced. Best prezzy in comparison with whom? Iddi Amin Dada? Kwame Nkrumah? Nyerere? Mobutu?

How do you reach this conclusion where the economy continues to nosedive and more people are locked out of formal employment with informal one subjected to taxation levels unprecedented in our post independence era?

You certainly have the guts. Jobs and over taxation never support one another!

Jobs and economic growth major casualties in this budget.
