Are you really sure he is worse than you and me let alone the international community whom you eagerly abase yourself for a morsel of bread?teh teh teh you didn't ever been to Tanzania and still discussing something you didn't observe. So you gained experience through Jamii Forums and other social networks. This is so wonderful, you are worse than western NGO's who have been in our country for a short period of time and think they know Tanzania better than ourselves.
Am not sure candour ALWAYS is the truth. Sometimes could be a concession to lies!Well it is obvious that I speaking the truth. Respect is needed.
There is a fast growing culture to label all of us as scholars in support of this administration reminding all and sundry that a very anemic self esteem is behind all of this. This budget is an economic plan, it's not just another budget. Tanzanians know that our future depends on how well we continue to grow and shape our economy as we transition from the stagnant tourism and unprecedented gold mining investment boom to a stronger, more diverse and new economy.
We know that our future, our jobs and those our children depend on it. This is very sensitive time. Tanzania scholars have clearly said we must have an economic plan to make this economic transition a success.
This economic plan will be the foundation on which we can build a brighter, more secure future, in a stronger and new economy with more jobs. So we have to ask and challenge ourselves, what is our government economic plan.? And not this blah blah..
Are we not a rathole like one Republican senator lambasted us awhile ago?The resources China gets from Tanzania is paid for at fair price and not plundering like Westerns do. China now is using the money to invest in Tanzania unlike Westerns who would rather get Tanzania in debt then confiscate our resources when debts cannot be paid, this is what we call neo colonialism.
We Tanzanians know what is best for us. That means we can make our own decisions on who we want to trade with. However the Westerns have since long abandoned us for decades. We want to focus on other sides like Russia, Japan, Iran and China who once called a poor country but now is a global super power. My only hope is that the Westerns can drop that high ego such as thinking that they are so superior and get on board. We need the Westerns too as long as they come and do a legitimate business with us. They have to know every country has its own national interests, so they have to left us independently. They have to treat us as a sovereignty state and respect our internal affairs.
By saying so, China and other Eastern countries are not helping Tanzania but they are doing business with Tanzania. Time is but ripe for Tanzania to emancipate ourselves from the foreign aid dependence mentality. Times have changed, and we need to equally move ahead with times or we shall forever be foreign aid dependent.
Forgive our colleague for overzealousness. I am used to his regular releases of his catharsis. Enduring him keeps my patience on the right path of redemption.Did you read what I wrote?..I made it clear that I have never ACTIVELY lived in Tz...that's not to say I have never ever been there...some of my relatives and one of my parents is from Tz...and yes I have spent weeks at a time when on school and uni breaks...I did say my observation could be wrong...I was honest enough to admit that...So what is your problem there?I am fairly versed and schooled on problems affecting African and Third worLd countries due to the nature of my education and profession....have been involved in policy making/regulating.....so I know a thing or two.....I don't need Jamii forums to verse me on anything...This is an open forum on Tz issues...am a Tz national and these issues affect me directly or indirectly...therefore am free to comment...A medical doctor doesn't have to have measles or chickenpox to know/see when a child is suffering from it...I never said I was a Proffesser in all things Tz...just giving my opinion which I said could be not perfect...Shooting down someone's opinions is disrespectful...I believe in intelligent debates and respect opinions from all walks of life...I expect the same from my peers..Development is give and take of intelligentsia..
...Nobody has a right to stifle anyone's freedom of expression whether right or wrong...
IMF never orchestrated that economic meltdown in Europe but trade imbalances and lack of political union narrating why government expenditures in poor European countries are not arraigned. You are still wrong, but it's not your problem. I wonder what kind of social studies you learn at college. May be you should go back to college and learn a thing that Africa is not a continent that facing the same social problems. Africa is a continent with different countries inside it, with the greatest genetic diversity in humans. And every country has its own challenges, difficulties, problems and even strategies to overcome poverty.
Let me ask you, is it right to say Europeans are facing financial crisis just because Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Portugal have all been dragged down to the worst pit solution orchestrated by the IMF? if this is not right for Europeans, why not for Africans?
You cannot compare problems that we are facing as a country with Equatorial Guinea.! Just because we are on the same continent called Africa. Or you cannot compare the development strategies of Zambia and Burundi for the case of being third world countries.! It's quite false to lump us all together. Tanzania will remains Tanzania as a country, and Africa will remains continent geographically.
When will you learn to dole out a credit when it is due?You are misunderstanding and misinterpreting what you are reading about him. It's absurd bullshit to conclude that. Think about his few past comments which in reality do not exist.
Now, it's best to help him. Where sukari has sold at that price tag? Tshs 6000 per kilogram?
Did Masele elevated to become a member of cabinet? Where and when?
These are clearly antitruther comments, because the truth movement isn't aware of co intelligence ******.
The problem of this Magufuli's dexterity is hypocrisy, period!
Of course but this isn't a profitable business, rather than doing this for the truth. Are you really sure he is worse than you and me let alone the international community whom you eagerly abase yourself for a morsel of bread?
How dare should I believe such lies? When will you learn to dole out a credit when it is due?
There is a fast growing culture to label all of us as scholars in support of this administration reminding all and sundry that a very anemic self esteem is behind all of this.
For starters why buckle themselves in anonymous scholars? Could a minion such as Dr. Bana represent anybody really or only succeeding to display his folly?
Forgetting about Dr Bana, Magufuli is leading by example. Our budget delivers our economic plan in three key ways. The problem of this Magufuli's dexterity is hypocrisy, period!
Paying five percent on gratuity cloak injustices on emoluments payment structure.
Constitutional office holders which Magufuli leads the queue grab 80% of their respective incumbents' gross salaries and it is untaxed!
Magufuli wants to believe taxing his one time lumpsum pension will assuage I justices inflicted upon underpaid public servants whose pension payment structure defies inflation and devaluation of the local currency while Magufuli's retirement perks despite being overall taxfree but they are pegged upon inflation index!
Perhaps the more conspicuous injustice is when all constitutional office holders are paid from the consolidated fund but not on pension schemes set aside for the rest.
If Magufuli is genuine on pension reforms he should revoke the discriminatory clauses I have covered above and let everybody who is a public servant join GPF and be treated in the same template.
Thereafter and only in this aspect I will join the caucus of rapturous ovation applauding genuine efforts to thwart preferential treatment and its consequential discrimination to cup it all.
Am sure you are in their pockets. Be strong and let us in the know. How much are you pocketing for this overzealousness?Of course but this isn't a profitable business, rather than doing this for the truth.
How dare should I believe such lies.?
The level of taxation kills jobs and thwart economic growth let alone decelerating tax compliance rates. What did she/he say about Tanzania? And what should we do? We just need to calmly carry out our national agenda. We are resolving our social issues, and will continue to do so competently.
You have to tell them, they must consider the interests of the others and they must respect other people. They cannot squeeze others, having considered only the benefits that they require from whatever... in politics, in economics and in everything.
When they start to consider our national interests in their actions... any other disagreements we may have, they will self-regulate. This needs to be done, not just talked about. We need to carry out our national agenda.!
You are prejudiced. Best prezzy in comparison with whom? Iddi Amin Dada? Kwame Nkrumah? Nyerere? Mobutu? You have to asked yourself how they got indebt? Who their in debt to? How long will take for them to recover? And why their economy is failing and can't recover? Who is responsible for their crisis? Read the Confessions of an Economic Hitman, all about the IMF just another lying organization which cause the problems, present the solutions and make the people think they are saving them, when they are really enslaving them financially. African nations were on the same boat, fortunately our debts were backed by natural resources. Back to the topic lol... President Magufuli is best president. I stand behind him in anything he wants to do for the country's benefits. I will vote him again if I have to.
You certainly have the guts. Jobs and over taxation never support one another!Forgetting about Dr Bana, Magufuli is leading by example. Our budget delivers our economic plan in three key ways.
First, by fixing specific problems in our tax system and introducing new form of taxes for both executive officers, parliamentarians, regional commissioners and district commissioners. So we can sustainably cover the government's responsibilities. This means combating tax avoidance, especially by multinationals with new measures to ensure everyone pays tax they should on what they earn in Tanzania, not avoid tax by shifting their profits offshore.
Second, by sticking to our plan for jobs and growth. Our government will continue investment in our national innovation and science agenda - to create our own ideas boom in every city, in every town, in every factory, farm and office including support for new start-up business.
Through our ten year industry plan, they will secure an advanced local manufacturing industry that will drive new jobs in Tanzania. More export opportunities will be opened up.
Third, by continuing to ensure the government lives within its means, to balance the budget. In this budget, government will continue to cut unnecessary waste and keep government spending under control to balance the budget overtime. Government will continue to target welfare abuse to protect our social safety net and ensure it is there for Tanzania's most vulnerable, in particular those with disabilities. And continue to responsibly invest in infrastructure like roads, standard gauge railway, dams and public transport and guarantee real, affordable funding for health and education services that Tanzania rely on.
Now tell me, what is hypocrisy of Magufuli's administration?
Why ban in the first place? You purchase desk but not teachers. You build health centers but cannot afford nurses! Contradiction is his middle name
Before long he will manufacture his own economic data to claim the economy is robust. Claiming a credit for his concoctions.
