Bail ruling not appealable but the High Court is accessible through a reference
Far more troubling is the public office is being abused to encroach on rights of its citizens!
Even if an appeal is allowable by past practices of the courts but an intention to appeal is not a success of appeal to upend a ruling of a lower court.
A notice of appeal is not even stay of execution!
So parlaying a notice of appeal as a tool to temporarily quash and set aside the legal decision of the magistrates court is another dark chapter in the administration of justice in this country.

The reason our legislature made interlocutory rulings not appealable, reviewable or subject to revision is to nullify unscrupulous litigators' malicious intent of delaying the course of justice through perpetual challenging the rulings without vitiating the cases!
While our prisons are suffocated with congestions of inmates you would have expected the DPP to exercise wisdom and empathy in bail hearings to counter abuses of human rights.

Similar DPP intransigence is seen on those philanthropists eager to end incarcerations of convicted criminals whose sentences could be overturned by payments of fines.
