I subscribe to most of your averments only with one rider: moral integrity are spiritual matters not swayed by carnal education.Incidentally, may I ask why do we have to argue our case in Queen''s English? Anyway, let me jump into the fray. First and foremost, this country can never get out of the doldrums if its people persist in embracing the current constitution and the administrative machinery. Secondly, the education that was received by most of the people now in executive positions did not emphasize the need for citizens to act with patriotism. So, everybody in a position to do so tries to 'chukua chake mapema' (i. e grab everything within reach) at speed. So what is now required is not to try to change those in power but to change the system that put them there. The electoral system, the judicial and police system must all be revised, revemped or restructured to make them independent equitable and efficient to such an extent that even the highest office in the country cannot interfer in their work. The problem is which mouse will bell the cat?
