I beg to differ. In Tanzania we have the necessary policy and institutional framework to move the country forward successfully. The missing link for many years has been effective supervision or unyampara if you like. Magufuli is doing just that and in the first 100 days in power, he will have defined his leadership style and expectations for all to take note, not only for the digestion of those already in government service and others who aspire to work with him in cabinet or high government offices, but all wananchi and the international community. It needs a courageous and committed leader like Magufuli and an equally committed team, exemplified by Ndugu Majaliwa, to spearhead such a systemic cleansing of the government machinery so that it can deliver to the expectations of the Tanzanian masses -not a small political and economic elite . The country has been lacking a national leadership with the needed political will to sort the rot out, now thanks God we have Magufuli and Majaliwa( double M). Magufuli is now the talking point across the globe and helping to brand Tanzania positively, making us Tanzanians feel proud once again.
Ha!what means of proud you grant here bro?

So we are going back to colonial administration style of "unyampara" the trouble I have with this parochial view is where are empowered institutions?

Magufuli was in the government for almost two decades and our economy has sputtered out despite him being a senior minister!

What has changed now? What I see he is carving a cult of personality around himself but he is impotent to reform our institutions.
Always says iwant make ma country be strait!did he publically told us who did it?&why?Ccm was being on power since now 55 year!is he lamenting for whom?

my input has always been questioning the legitimacy of ccm to govern from 1995 to today and have identified NEC as a primary reason the will of voters is tampered, rigged and upended to that effect.........have also offered policy reforms needed to ensure our elections are free, fair and transparent.

some of my policy recipes of internal reforms within NEC include:-

a) severing agent links with local governments which are vulnerable to master-employee manipulations,

b) NEC to reflect parliamentary diversity in its representation just like Zanzibar Nec

c) Polling station vote verdicts be included in the NEC website thickening accountability of declared verdicts via permitting the electorate to verify whether results of their polling stations have been reported correctly

d) Voter registration to continue on daily basis up to two weeks before the elections to capture those turning 18 years old anytime rather than current situation where they are locked out despite being constitutionally apt to vote...........

e) Stakeholders be legally permitted to tally and announce unofficial results based on polling station votes for all types of elections.................

between you and I, I must divulge I will never attempt investing in such a hostile environment where my heart informs me the owners will declare fiscal reports which will condemn me unto earnings far less than buying fixed deposits in commercial banks where I have full control of my funds............

though these companies rake billions but have shown the capacity and intent of not wanting to share their stinking spoils with us then why risk your little money there in the first place and in such a constitutional quagmire to pollute it all?

success stories like TBL are distinguishable because the government owned shares and was more than happy to pass them to small minority shareholders but we are dealing with something very ominous here demanding more than caution when dealing with them............

so not all that glitters is gold summarizes this sad story which many are gonna fall victims just like millions whom conmen masquerading as indigenous stole billions from some of us in this UNIT TRUST.................we trusted hyenas expecting undeserved mercy now nursing financial wounds seems an order of the day
