That may bring an anticlimactic closure to once a very promising career in public service which was entangled in personal greed, failure to seize monumental political openings and siding with dark horses at hour of reckoning let alone betraying those who trusted him most in CUF...And beyond!

One, you need to give the AG a ninety days notice which by the time the deadline is reached we will have the election behind us and few will be interested to disturb with the outcome beyond refining the principles of overriding objectives which will make it harder to dislodge any candidate on technicality of filling forms

If this is true then the independence of the election commission is on the dock...Will they respect the election law or their appointer?

In Bumbuli constituency, the immediate MP is gloating that his chief opponent didn't include passport sized photos according to the regulations...so he has asked NEC to spare him of punishing election cycle by declaring him a winner by default...

In Morogoro NEC has disqualified the opposition in lesser election offences than this...

In other constituency cited here, opposition candidate have been disqualified for having four names in their forms...so NEC has its hands full....can they display an element of bias to favour their appointer or will respect the rule of law and its norms and practice which is essentially to uphold the rule of law...

If this is true then the lapses NEC is dealing with are no longer minor lapses but lapses of fundamental nature..

If election supervisors from certain constituencies not NEC commissioners at NEC HQ verified and ratified his election forms containing a raft of endorsements from across the ten regions as required by the election laws then the issue of jurisdiction of the supervisors in a presidential election crops up...its hydra head in such an unexpected circumstances....

Issues of violations of jurisdiction are not minor lapses but lapses of fundamental nature because if it is true president Magufuli didn't submit a list of endorsers to the NEC for verification and ratification as required by the election laws then CCM have no candidate vying for president and no court of law let alone NEC can bail him out but again we still need to hear from the other side to get their view before making any drastic judgement in this very politically polarising election dispute....
