We need no reminder that no amount of prayers can save anybody once deceased not even Job, Samuel and Moses descend from Paradise can serve him for an obvious reason each and every man is judged by His deeds. If you loved him you were supposed to pray for him to depart from his evil ways while he was still alive and clutches a leverage to change his spiritual fortunes but you didn't because you didn't care...now after he has been adjudged you come down with your vain prayers because you regard evil in your hearts....and since you regard evil your prayers will not be hearkened in heaven.
Since the kingdom of God is not "that into you" it is a small wonder you are neither shaken by violence nor can the violent take you by force...some are very defensive that let's not judge but once dead you either have transcended into eternal life or eternal condemnation.. so we are left with nothing to salvage as the tables have already been turned...by his own deeds which cannot be flipped one way or the other.
And calling yourself Christian not a valuable defence because whoever names the name of the Lord Christ Jesus [emoji120] must depart from iniquity...
But if you delude yourself that hypocrisy is a sure currency to heaven you will be dumbfounded when the Lord Christ Jesus [emoji120] rebukes you: " I never knew you, depart from Me you workers of iniquity...."
Moreover, whoever believes he will be saved or can save anybody by multitude of prayers carries the spirit of unbelief...and the spirit of unbelief is the spirit of Antichrist which was to come and is already here....
You're wrong again, as usual -- there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GOOD that sincere prayers cannot do. Isn't it in the Scriptuires where men and women of God prayed and even witnessed RESURRECTION of their departed loved ones!??? Just wondering if your ^Bible^ is an edited version or something!???
You greatly error and know not the scripture neither the power of God. Receiving miracles has nothing to do with the salvation of God which entirely depends on individual faith as manifested in deeds. You're wrong again, as usual -- there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GOOD that sincere prayers cannot do. If miracles were everything God would not have given sight to a blind man and yet commanded him to SIN NO MORE.
Nobody has power to save the spirit of the dead except God. This is why on His way to calvary God rebuked women who were crying for Him, telling them to cry for themselves and their little ones.
When His disciple asked permission to bury his dead He rebuked him saying "Let the dead bury the dead but you go and preach the gospel of God."
If you don't know the scripture a little silence is all is needed.1. ^Receiving miracles has nothing to do with the salvation of God^ -- INCORRECT! Miracles are part and percel of God's salvation process.
2. ^Nobody has power to save the spirit of the dead except God.^ -- This is the same powerful God to whom prayers of faith are (and should be) directed.
3. ^to cry for themselves and their little ones.^ -- One of the strongest evidences in support of the fact that prayers actually do work out wonderful, superhuman miracles!
4. ^When His disciple asked permission to bury his dead He rebuked him^ -- Obviously, the Master was on His eternal mission in search for individuals of faith the likes of Jairus who understood that He (Jesus) can do much more than just allow them opportunity to accord a decent burial to their departed loved ones. Had his faith gone beyond this request -- asking for a ressurection by Jesus instead of a mere burial -- the Lord would have inevitably commended his faith then proceeded right away to bring the deceased to life.
