WHY Professor TIBAIJUKA was and is still exercising poor judgment

The fact that Prof. Anna Tibaijuka was unceremoniously ditched by Ban Ki Moon from the UN Habitat office in Nairobi tells the whole story. There were allegations of tribalism and misuse of UN funds while she was in Nairobi. Somehow the comprise was to release her from the post in a more respectable way given the support Tanzania had thrown to making Ki Moon the UN General Secretary. As usual, she put up a fight to remain there!

Her murky past has reared its ugly head at the most inopportune of times burying her presidential aspirations in the process. She is surprised to learn her persuasive powers are this much ineffective to sway even those who were in her presidential team!

Well, it shows income disparities have hit astronomical heights where our leaders are totally divorced from the aspirations of the led! Ten million feed and maintain a couple of families for years but to our politicians that cash can only sustain their western tastes for a few days!

We still claim we are building a socialist state, sounds like utopia now.

Tibaijuka's biggest mistake was to believe ni Kikwete as her political mentor; the guy is unpredictable with that cunning smile, see how he let her fall like a fishing sinker!!

And she sounded so sure. I think this proves that there are 'big players' in that issue who are 'untouchable', so she thought by being in there with them she was safe. All in all, she shamed the whole country biiig time.
