Why Tanzania and other African countries shouldn’t rely on China as a security partner

I always wonder why Tanzania and other African countries rely on China as a serious security partner while Beijing has failed to contribute meaningful security in the Red Sea!!! A-vivid example is, the People’s Liberation Army’s first overseas support base in Djibouti is branded by Beijing as a way to enable the PLA to safeguard regional peace and stability, conduct anti-piracy operations as well as fulfill it’s responsibilities in the international community. However, amids attacks by Houthi rebels on merchant ships near Djibouti not only has the People Republic of China not joined the 10 nation efforts to escort ships transiting the Red Sea, but it has refused to 59 distress calls as the international maritime law requires!!! In my views the Chinese are not in Africa as security partner, but rather they are in Africa to grab our raw materials, minerals and other potential natural resources for their industries back home!!! Meanwhile, other thinkers have also said that the Chinese and everyone else are in Africa for their own self-Serving interests. So, don’t waste your time thinking that anyone else, including the Western World are in Africa for Africa’s interests. They have further suggested that Africans should get their act together and start fixing their own problems without having to necessarily rely on foreign military support!!
