According to Section 13 of Uganda’s Anti-Pornography Act 2014, a person shall not produce, traffic in, publish, broadcast, procure, import, export, sell or abet any form of pornography and anyone who commits such is liable, on conviction, to a fine of UShs10m or imprisonment not exceeding 10 years.

because we love pornography... ever heard of amber rutty? how about the oil test of Nandy!

We have the Cybercrime Act of 2015 which cover offences related to phonography, infact the punishment is hevier than in Uganda.

Read section 13 and 14 of Cybercrime Act, covers offence related to ponography in fact the punishment in our law is heavier than in Uganda...

Cybercrime act is not anti pornography act !!! ( even if it may cover pornography and related offences )

Well, there is no need to have anti phonography legislation in Tanzania, so much as the aforementioned provisions of Uganda are covered in our Cybercrime Act needless to say, they are substantially in pari materia.

There would be no merit of enacting another law to specifically cover ponography while the provisions of Sec 13 and 14 of the Cyber Crimes Act clearly prohibit and provide penalty for the offences related to ponography!

Thanks too much.. I understand correctly all issues on that matter. May you please tell me if a person looking porn sites is committing a punishable offence under cybercrime act?

Section 13 of the Cyber Crimes Act specifically covers child ponography in which under paragraph (b) it reads "a person shall not make available or facilitate the access of child pornography through a computer system." Through a thorough interpretation of this provision it is of my great belief that your concern has been answered (emphasis is mine).
Section 14 of the same act covers pornography generally where it prohibits publication or causing publication of ponography through a computer system....Now the merit here is how you interpret publication in the context of law. Hope my answer has been fruitful to you.
