Nadhani haujafahamu tofauti ya Synthetic Oil na Mineral oil. Hizi mbili ni tofauti sana hata kwenye durability.

Kwa wa synthetic oil change after every 5000km na sio kwenda mpaka km7000-10,000 hata kama watumia liquimo oil. (Na hapa lazima uwe na uhakika gari yako haina tatizo la kula oil. Kama inakula oil utakuta unaweka hizi kwakua ni nyepesi mpaka unafika km 5000 unakuta umebakiwa na oil lita moja)


Kuhusiana na quality ya oil, tafuta oil zenye API rating nzuri hasa ukiwa na gari zenye GDI fuel system au pia ukiwa na Gari ya Turbo.

Kuhusiana na oil za gearbox (transmission fluid) weka recommended transmission fluid ambazo manufacturer wako ame recommend.. kama ni ATF-TYPE 4, CVT-TC, or CVT-FE, WS, NS-2 or3, Matic J, DSG nk.. ili mradi ni recommended.. and avoid universal transmission fluids.. na transmission hubadilishwa after at least every 30,000km but you can go more than that depending na mazingira gari inatumika..

5w - 30 ni nyepesi pia iinafaa saana Kwa magari ya 2009 kuja juu.

Viscosity ni resistance ya oil kuflow.. Kwahiyo oil yenye viscosity kubwa ni ngumu kuflow hence nzito zaidi..!

Aina zake
Mineral oil - hii inatokana na kuchujwa kwa crude oil..haina mambo mengi kwenye uzalishaji wake..molecules zake hazipo uniform.. Kwahiyo flow sio nzuri..bei ipo chini.. Interval ya service nayo ni karibu karibu..!

Semi Synthetic na Synthetic oil - hizi zipo very refined.. Hasa hasa synthetic.. Ni oil zinazotengenezwa LAB kwa formula.. Kwahiyo molecules zake zipo uniform.. Flow inakuwa nzuri. Interval yake unaenda kilometers nyingi..
Hapa panahitaji umakini.. Oil inaweza kuwa nzuri kwa kilometers nyingi ila oil filter isiwe na uwezo wa kwenda kilometers nyingi.

Grading ya Oil
Oil imekuwa graded na hawa SAE kwenye makundi 2. Monograde na Multigrade.
Mono kama jina lake.. Ina viscosity moja throughout. Wakati Multi ni zaidi ya moja.

MFANO wa Monograde SAE40.. Hii inakuwa na viscosity ya 40 kuanzia cold start mpaka operating temperature.. Kwahiyo ukiwasha gari inabidi uipe muda kidogo ili oil ipande vizuri kwenye engine.. Unaweza ukawasha gari then ukaenda kuoga.. Mpaka ukitoka mambo yamekaa sawa.

Hizi zinafaa kwa mazingira ambayo hakuna temperature change kubwa kwenye seasons kama hapa TZ..!

Mfano wa Multigrade 5W40.. Hii inabehave kama oil ya 5 viscosity kwenye cold start na 40 viscosity kwenye operating temperature.

Kwahiyo ukiwasha tuu gari. Oil itapanda chap kwenye engine haihitaji kusubiri muda. Hizi zinafaa kwenye mazingira yenye mabadiliko makubwa ya temperature ndani ya mwaka.

Hii inapunguza usumbufu wa kubadilisha oil wakati wa winter na summer.

0W40 ni nyepesi zaidi ya 5W30 kwenye winter(cold start) ila ni nzito zaidi kwenye summer(operating temperature).!
