Zuma, Kagame and Several African heads of state to escort Kenyatta to ICC

Huu ni mtandao wa udaku. Katika habari yote hakuna mahali ambapo panaonyesha hao maraisi wamethibitisha kwenda The Hague. Kwanza huyo Kagame mwenyewe anaogopa kukaribia hiyo mahakama manaake anajua jamaa wanamvizia wamtie korokoroni!

Kamanda,

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 3 – The presidents of Rwanda and Uganda will not accompany President Uhuru Kenyatta to The Hague next week contrary to earlier reports that the two would be part of a delegation going with him to the Netherlands. An official in Kigali told Capital FM News that President Paul Kagame supports President Kenyatta but will not be in a position to accompany him to the The Hague.

"It's not true that President Kagame is accompanying President Uhuru Kenyatta to The Hague. We support Kenya and we support President Kenyatta but President Kagame is not accompanying him to The Hague as earlier reported," the official calling from the Rwandan President's office told Capital FM News.

The official complained that President Kagame learnt of his purported trip to The Hague on Kenyan media yet he had not given such indication.

Ugandan Special Presidential Assistant for Communications Sarah Kagingo also said President Yoweri Museveni would not travel to The Hague with President Kenyatta though he supports him.

Immediately after the International Criminal Court (ICC) judges ordered for the physical presence of President Kenyatta during the status conference scheduled next Wednesday, news spread on mainstream and social media that African leaders would accompany him to The Hague.

In October 2013, the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia asked for a deferral of the trial against President Kenyatta.

The summit attended by African leaders agreed that no sitting Head of State in Africa should appear at an international court.

AU leaders threatened to pull out of the Rome Statute but the move was not implemented as African countries including Kenya are still signatories.
The leaders further pledged to support immunity for sitting heads of state and asked Kenya to write to the UN Security Council and seek for a deferral in the case against President Kenyatta.

The case against President Kenyatta has been on a shaky trend after ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda requested for postponement of his trial on three occasions.

Bensouda last year informed the court that she did not have evidence against President Kenyatta but urged the court to allow her more time to solidify her case.

President Kenyatta is the only accused person in Kenya Case 2 in which he is accused of implementing a ‘joint common plan' to execute attacks and killings in Naivasha and Nakuru during the violence that followed the disputed 2007 presidential poll.

Charges against former Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura and ex-Police Commissioner Hussein Ali were dropped.

The prosecution has accused the Government of Kenya of failing to furnish the court with several documents which it wants to use to show that President Kenyatta funded the attacks.

So far, there are no witnesses lined up to testify and the prosecution is relying on documents from Kenya to build its case.

Hii ndio African Power. Its about time waAfrika waonyeshe umoja! No matter what. Kama wewe ni mwafrika na unaona kinachofanyika The Hague ni sawa then you need your head (and very possibly anus) checked for foreign INTRUSIONS...!
Huu sasa ni ujinga na uwendawazimu. Yaani unataka kusema kila afanyacho mwafrika inabidi tukiunge mkono kwa sababu tu sisi ni waafrika?

Africa tutakuja kuamka baadae saaanaaa huenda labda ikawa mwaka 3050, this is mind capture and soften heart! Waafrika tuamkeni!

will be the sweetest catch of all let PK himself make that happens :hail:

These Presidents should find better ways of using their taxpayers' money - unless they are paying from their own pockets. Even so they should find it wise to use the time to discharge state duties for which they were elected to office. I think a phone call or letter to Uhuru would be sufficient to show solidarity.

Duh! Uhuru has managed to captivate Africa in a such a way that has never happened before. Anyway we are all for justice, just that it pains me knowing the real culprits of what happened in my country were never dragged to the Hague. Hizi kesi zitaisha na kupotelea mbali maana zilichezwa kisiasa. There are some of us who were in the country and are damn sure of which people should be rotting in ICC.
aside day dreaming on Zuma and kagame even your MPs some will not attend his Monday address :spit:

[h=3]CORD MPs to snub President Uhuru’s address[/h]By Julian KamauUpdated Sunday, October 5th 2014 at 18:27 GMT +3

Kenya: Senator Bonnie Khalwale and Moses Wetangula have announced that CORD MPs will not attend President Uhuru Kenyatta’s adress in Parliament on Monday.
The announcement was made after Speakers of the National Assembly wrote text messages to MPs requesting them to attend a special sitting to be addressed by the President.
CORD MPs feel that the President wants to adress them over ICC status conference summons which to them is not a National issue. The agenda of the meeting was not stated in the message.
The President is scheduled to travel to The Hague next week to answer to charges of organising ethnic massacres that killed 1,200 people after the 2007 elections.

Tusubiri, tutaona tu.

mkuu kwa hio unataka kutuambia mh.Uhuru kabambikiwa tu

mkuu kwa hio unataka kutuambia mh.Uhuru kabambikiwa tu

Hata team iliyotajwa imejaa utata!

I strongly support African Leaders to escort HE Kenyatta. If at all there is people to stand at the ICC they should have started long enough with those ordered killing of Iraq, Libyan, Palestine and Syrian people! It is only African does the killing but when it comes to muzungu they are OK. Let all African stand together and fight for our beloved Africa! No outsider will fight for us!

Africa Heads of States attending that session at ICC rooms in Netherlands show their inner huge underlying weakness toward deciding on what they believe to be right.

These people are confused?how would they show support of a president who had to hand over his presidency to attend the trial as a normal person?
Shouldn't they also show their support as normal people not in their capacities as presidents?
