No Gaucho

nimeanza kuangalia WC 1986,1990,1998 zote hizo DINHO hakuwepo na zote zilikuwa WC nzuri sana,DINHO kaanza WC 2002 then 2006 he was great and joy to watch.
now 2010 unfortunately hatakuwepo lakini naamini yatakuwa mashindano mazuri tu,kuna wachezaji wengi wazuri, vilevile NO PLAYER IS BIGGER THAN THE TEAM LET ALONE BRAZILIAN NATIONAL TEAM.
ONE PLAYER DOESNT MAKE OR BREAK WORLD CUP FINALS.

Subiri uone...

FIVE TEAMS TO WATCH

1. France. One of the tournament's most talented but unpredictable teams, Les Bleus has been saddled for years with the enigma that is coach Raymond (Crazy Ray) Domenech. What I like: wingers Franck Ribery and Florent Malouda, rising star goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. What I don't like: Crazy Ray and his loopy decisions. Of all the European powers, this is the one most likely to crash out of the group stage.
2. Argentina. Diego Maradona is a deity in Argentina on account of his 1986 World Cup glory, but as a coach Maradona makes Isiah Thomas look like Phil Jackson. What does Messi have to do to get a good manager at the World Cup? In '06 he sat on the bench as Jose Pekerman didn't bother to use Messi in the quarterfinal exit against Germany. And now Messi has to deal with El Diego. Pobrecito.
3. Cameroon. It's the first World Cup on African soil, but which African teams could go deep? Ivory Coast got a terrible draw with Brazil and Portugal. Ghana lost injured star Michael Essien and is in the Group of Depth with Germany, Serbia and Australia. Nigeria was better 10 years ago. Perhaps the continent's best chance is Cameroon. The Indomitable Lions have one of the world's top big-game goal-scorers, Samuel Eto'o, and quality players surrounding him, to say nothing of a good coach in Paul Le Guen. I've got Cameroon dumping Italy in the second round to reach the quarters.
4. United States. Being favored to advance from the group stage is a new position for the U.S., which tends to play better as an underdog than as the favorite. If the Americans really are one of the top 15 teams in the world, then there will be no excuse if they don't advance to the second round in a group that includes mid-level teams like Slovenia and Algeria. If it reaches the knockout rounds, the U.S. would probably be an underdog in a second-round game against a team from Group D (Germany, Serbia, Ghana).
5. Brazil. No, there is no Ronaldinho or Neymar or Alexandre Pato on this Brazil outfit. But Dunga has constructed a highly practical team that could easily win its sixth World Cup title behind Kaká. Whether Brazil's fans would be happy with winning in a less aesthetic style is another matter altogether, though.

LUIS NANI nae out WC

Hizi mechi za kirafiki, ati kujipima nguvu, is just a waste of time na kuambulia majeraha, mwisho wake wachezaji muhimu wanakosa WC. Wengine nao wanaumizana mazoezini - Rio et la...duh!

Journalists robbed at gunpoint

June 9, 2010

By Soccernet staff

Three foreign World Cup journalists were robbed at gunpoint early on Wednesday morning, according to South African police.
Portuguese photographer Antonio Simoes was woken at 04.00 BST by two men entering his room at the Nutbush Boma Lodge outside of Magaliesburg and two other reporters were also robbed at the same hotel.
"One of the guys pointed a hand gun at my head, and then they took all my gear - cameras, lenses, laptop," Simoes said. "Then they told me to lie on the bed and they covered me with a blanket, pressed the gun against my head and told me to sleep.
"The whole thing took one or two minutes, but it felt like hours."
Police spokesman Hangwani Mulaudzi said the authorities had good leads and hoped to make an arrest soon but added that the lodge where the journalists were staying would have to "jack up" its security.
The other victims, a Spaniard and Portuguese journalist Antonio Fimoes, also escaped their ordeal unhurt.
Fimoes said: "I was the only one to wake up when the robbers came into the room. One of them had a pistol and pointed it at my head and told me to shut up while the other one rummaged through our things. They got away with some money, passports, photographic material and clothing."
About 350,000 people are expected to visit South Africa, which has have enlisted thousands of specially trained police to deal with fans' safety.

Party like it's 2010
The World Cup hasn't even started and the party has begun here in Johannesburg.

While England manager Fabio Capello was snapping at the snappers in Rustenburg, there was an explosion of a different kind in the business district of Sandton, where tens of thousands of South African fans spilled onto the streets in a joyous celebration of their team, Bafana Bafana.

Their Brazilian manager, Carlos Parreira, was not too happy at the distractions of an open top bus parade two days before his team takes on Mexico in the opening match at Johannesburg's Soccer City. And most teams wait until they have won something before going on a victory procession.

mkuu wakati umefika ku-give up na Gaucho.unamuona huko kwenye tour usa anachokifanya? sometimes naona Dunga made a tough right decision.

No Gaucho

Nelson Mandela's great-granddaughter dies in car crash

Page last updated at 05:46 GMT, Friday, 11 June 2010 06:46 UK

Nelson Mandela's great-granddaughter has been killed in a car crash after a concert on the eve of the World Cup. Zenani Mandela, 13, died when travelling home after the concert in Soweto, the Nelson Mandela Foundation said. No-one else was hurt.

Zenani was one of Mr Mandela's nine great-grandchildren. The incident came just hours before the former South African president was due to attend the opening of the World Cup in Johannesburg. A police spokesman said Zenani had been travelling with Nelson Mandela's former wife, Winnie Madikizela.
"The family has asked for privacy as they mourn this tragedy," the Foundation said in a statement.
Zenani had reportedly celebrated her 13th birthday on 9 June.

Heavy traffic Thursday's World Cup concert had drawn tens of thousands to Soweto, and traffic in the area had been busy into the early hours of Friday. The event featured a cast of international stars - including Colombian singer Shakira, the Black Eyed Peas and Alicia Keys, as well as African stars Amadou & Mariam and Hugh Masekela.

Anti-apartheid icon Mr Mandela, 91, had campaigned for the World Cup to come to South Africa.
Some 350,000 people are expected to visit South Africa for the competition, which is being held in Africa for the first time.

Here we go Africa it's time to start blowing out louder our VUVUZELA to support and cheer fellow african representatives...
