The statistic shows that on 2009 the population was 54.7%.
It seems that the population of citizens living in slums increases day after day by 2%

If each 5 years the population of people live in slums increases by 2%,is estimated that from 2014 to 2034 the population of people live in slums will be 70%.

I like this info above as it makes people to have the current status of Kenya ,as for Tanzania is 50.70% in 2014.

Miss Annael, u really wanna talk slums with us Kenyans? Dont u realize that the reason why there are "no" slums in Dar is bcos all it mainly comprises of settlements that can only be described as slums in other places such as Kenya! The places u consider middle-class settlements in Dar are actually slums in Kenya, in other words.

There are no slums slums in Dar, for example cos the entire city, save for the city centre and a few other places are slums.

Dar es Salaam. Much of the development is concentrated within the city parameters. Dar es Salaam, as far as the eyes can see bear all the hallmarks of poor development. No fine roads and houses!
