African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Hi to All,my friend tried to source for me the Samson LNB but did not get them in Nairobi.He purchased the alternative lnb STARGOLD Universal Twin SG-200.Is the performance of this LNB good enough for fringe reception I want to track Yahsat using 2.4m prime focus.Where can I get the Samson LNB?
 

STARGOLD universal twin is 0.1db and high gain lnb. it is even better than samson lnb for fringe reception. samson lnb stabilises weak signal while stargold amplify weak signal. for samson, it seem they are out of market.
 
Samson is currently not available in Nairobi. Was searching for one last Saturday to no avail but you can try Inverto Black Twin LNB, I heard it's a performer....not at par with Samson but I am not sure of how good. Kungu can clarify on that.......
 
Kungu1,long time no see,a fellow member i share ideas with at rdi-sat.my concern now is that the bird nilesat i use to track down with my 10feet solid and fuji lnb at my end in west africa a country called ghana has now vanished becoz of the last update made and the beams changed to MENA and NWA.i can now have NWA but none of MENA beam,i seek your help,
kungu1 come let me have your views about this bird.i use to have about 600 channels but now it only 29 channels.

guys i cant lock on ntv @62e but both citizens are clear am using 4922

i receive it using eurostar ES21 lnb and 6ft prime focus dish but signal are only available from 3pm to midnight. u require 8ft dish to receive it 24/7. ntv and Qtv are available on this bird. here are some pics

for 72.1e u need a special receiver ie for computer check on kungu1 quote on page 1 or two for 10e i have also tried hunting them in vain but i hear there are people getting them
 
Does the Kenyan mux on 60deg work? if so, what's the min dish size? seems these kenyan channels are abit disappointing.
 
leave alone 60e ntv on 62 is difficult with 180
 
Got hold of Samson twine lnbf. will test it 2day and will bring it's results back as soon as I start mounting it.Good day palz.

nmg 1 and 2 with $$$$ sign are NTV and QTV respectively. they are fta but SRT 4922 doesnot respond quickly to weak signal but u can just press on any of those channels and give it time,it will blink like thrice with "no signal" message and then show "scrambled" and then picture. i use eurostar ES 10 MPEG4 DVBS2 RECEIVER. it's quite a performer. it doesn't scratch with low signal like that of ntv on 62e or optima sport on amos 5.
 

Hi pal, is it possible to combine Amos 5 and paksat 1r with two lnbs. Im currently receiving paksat but have no knowledge on Amos 5.I will appreciate for your input. For NTV 60° that is a night mere to track I have tried with 2.4m what I received is signal quality of 0% and the picture is on and off. Their is no live there man.
 
why the fuse about this strong 4922 yet its a non perfomer someone tell me
