Ndugu, we get that there is a threat...we don't need AK to inform us and hopefully, it will be dealt with. What I was pointing out is that AK's concern is false. He has said on this forum that he would like to see Nairobi being blown into smithereens (as you put it), more than once in fact so it's not an unfair accusation at all. His own words condemn him. If you have spent any amount of time in this section of the forum, you would know that AK and his two acolytes (they've gone strangely silent of late) have nothing but hate for Kenya. National Service in Tanzania is no different a program from the NYS program in Kenya. Apart from Unit Cohesion & Unit Discipline as well as very limited Small Arms training, no soldier is made out of the National Service programs in either Country. These are political and not Military programs, and for a proletarian-type army like the JWTZ, a greater emphasis is on the earlier.

And on this basis, National Service, you perceive yourself an expert on security matters, have the temerity to loosely sling your unsolicited advise to others?? What a f@cking joke!!

I asked that question simply coz that you express yourself with sublime yet arrogant ignorance of an educated man as if the matters you speak of were academic considerations. Please allow me to correct you, Ndugu Mkomatembo, about the genesis of KDF involvement in Somalia.

When we went in, in October last year, except for two IGAD Presidents - Museveni and Zenawi, neither the Americans nor the Europeans had any inkling about the Operation. In fact initially there was great resistance to it from the Americans, after their obvious shock at the audacity of the Operation and that they were so completely in the dark of it's planning; there was also the typical European arrogant condemnation that advised how ill-considered the decision was. J

In a nut-shell, the justification for this Operation was the clear Stalemate that of the AMISOM Mogadishu Operation which dangerously enboldened Al-shaabaab and propagated Al-Shaabab's extremism within East Africa. The Continued instability of Somalia had also over the years ejected nearly one-tenth of her population into Kenya, the numbers growing each year with devastating demographic consequences to Kenya.

Kenya is not doing the bidding of any external forces, but Kenya is in effect actualizing a deliberate strategy crafted by the IGAD. It is only following upon the spectacular successes of KDF in Somalia, acknowledged even by Western Military Organisations, that wider acceptance of KDF in Somalia ensued, leading to the AU finally adopting the Operation and the UNSC legalizing it.

Al-shaabaab has but one Ideology of extremism without cause. It has no national nor political agenda at all. No one, least of all Tanzania with your complex multicultural demographic composition, is safe from this madness that exploits real and imagine societal tensions amongst us.

you are driven by emotions mate, relax....KDF has shaped somalia and it took her 2-3 days to clear afmadhow. Compare what it took amison Uganda to capture Mogadishu. Uganda acknowlegdes KDFs weight in somali and they wish they had her on her side during capturing of Afgoye. KDF werent contained.....take a moment to rest your frustrations.
