Kenya's overall tourism revenue is much much more than Tanzania's. This is including money that goes to hotel owners, taxis etc. not just government revenue. Huko Tanzania the government charges high fees leaving tourists with little to spend elsewhere.
Barabara ya Maasai Mara inatengenezwa. In the meantime, many tourists choose to fly from Wilson.
Na wewe na ujinga wako wadhani tourism ni Serengeti au Maasai Mara pekee. Kenya has more interconnected towns and cities with better roads or air transport than you can possibly dream of in Tanzania.
Kenya has better developed supporting activities than Tanzania. Water sport is just one of them and not limited to the Indian ocean. Na simaanishi resort moja au mbili.
Serengeti having 'classy' lodges is a matter of opinion. Unless utembee lodge zote za Serengeti na Masai Mara.
Lakini chenye najua for a fact is that Kenya has more and better hotels in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu... everywhere. than Tanzania.
Tourism in Kenya drives the service industry. Vitu si black and white.
Lakini Nyinyi Tanzania mna tabia ya kudhulumu wageni na investors, ndio maana tourists watalipa fees za government lakini hawataspend elsewhere.
Tourism in Kenya is designed, not to benefit the government more, but to benefit supporting industries like hotels, transport, service, small businesses etc.
Ndio tax collection na budget ya Kenya ni double that of Tanzania.
Hii ni advanced economics, nitaelewa kama Geza hufahamu hii.

Mfano, atapunguza siku za ziara, au hatafanya other fun activities like watersport, au hatazuru maeneo mengine au hatanunua souvenirs etc
Kuna mifano mingi sana ya cost cutting measures.

The largest watersports centers in East Africa are found in Tanzania. From yacht clubs to even marine parks. Do ur research boy or ask Balala to explain to you about best hotels lodges n resorts btn Kenya n Tanzania...

Only about $1 billion of this is government revenue.

You're too thick to know that there is a whole supply chain in the tourism industry that is not measured directly.
As you overcharge your tourists in park fees and taxes, Kenya lets them their spend their money in other supporting sectors of the economy like transport, curios, restaurants etc.
Tourism contributes 10% of Kenya's GDP directly and indirectly. This figure was KSh561 billion in 2014. Right now It's probably up.
This is one of the reason Kenya government's budget is nearly double Tanzania's. We let other sectors grow instead of overtaxing their source of income.
In the process, it works in favour of the government.

About 10% of Kenya's annual GDP is directly and indirectly from the tourism sector.

Kenya your still struggling with yellow fever 2017 let alone Cholera. While Tanzania isn't.
Kenya is just a victim of its poor neighbors. Actually Kenya is the one that demands Yellow Fever vaccination from visitors from certain countries.
The last outbreak of Yellow Fever in Kenya was in 1992.

Your still on the map of yellow fever country. if you travel to Tanzania and you don't touch Kenya soil, Tanzania authority will not ask you for yellow fever certification, once you touch Kenyan soil even for one second make sure you have that card amigos. And not only Tanzania, even other counties too.
