Midfielder Benayoun netted in the
THIRD minute of added time to fire his side level on points with Manchester United at the top of the Premier League.
Liverpool had dominated the first half but were denied by some spectacular saves by Arsenal keeper Lukasz Fabianski.
Arshavin fired the Gunners ahead in the 36th minute after Javier Mascherano's error.
The Argie ace's sloppy pass led to Cesc Fabregas finding Arshavin, who blasted in off the bar.
But the Reds came out fighting after the break with Torres' header levelling things up.
Benayoun struck soon after to give Rafa Benitez's side the lead, although he took a wack on the head in the process.
The Israeli was congratulated as he lay on the floor in agony after being kicked in the face by Bacary Sagna.
But Arshavin blew away Liverpool with a stunning three-minute double to hand the advantage back to the Gunners.
That was until Torres banged in his second of the night on 72 minutes.
Albert Riera crossed from the left and the striker controlled superbly before firing home.
Nicklas Bendtner could have stolen a fourth for Arsenal when he beat Pepe Reina but his effort was ruled out for offside.
Theo Walcott came off the bench and set up Arshavin for the fourth with just seconds left of normal time.
And in added time Benayoun grabbed the equaliser before Fabregas was denied the winner by a late offside flag.
