• Position: Local Militia (317 positions)

General Requirements:

• Tanzanian citizen
• Completed Form Four or Six
• Must have a National ID or NIDA number
• Fluent in Kiswahili and English
• Physically and mentally fit, confirmed by a government doctor
• No history of drug abuse
• Ready to work anywhere within Dar es Salaam City Council
• No criminal record
• Must have undergone JKT or militia training
• Must provide a guarantor’s letter from a government employee and a permanent resident of the area
• No legal or criminal charges
• Age: 18-45 years
• False information will lead to legal action
• Former government employees dismissed for forgery cannot apply

Responsibilities:

• Guard council property and operations
• Maintain security in assigned areas
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors

Contract Terms:

• Three-month contract
• Salary: Tshs 10,000/day (approx. Tshs 300,000/month)
