Interviewing and recruiting top management is the work of the board.
They have no obligation to announce to you.
If you are looking for clerical employment, they might post adverts on newspapers.
Potential CEOs are a small pool. Suitable ones are head hunted, and the best among them gets the job.

Ungeandika kuwa ccm (especially hii ya jiwe) inawachukia Wakenya ningekuelewa. Btw; Nyerere alipendekeza ku-postpone independence ya Tanganyika hadi Kenya na Uganda ziwe independent simultaneously. You cannot accuse Tanzanians hating Kenyans using such a sweeping statement.

Slyvia Mulinge ni mamalishe, hiyo ndio taaluma yake..Hata hiyo kazi yake safaricom ni juhudi za papuchi yake..Wanawake walevi tena kwa kiwango chake cha hadi kuua watoto kwa gari akiwa mlevi, tabia zao zinajulikana.

I can tell u there was no such an exercise at Vodacom's board. A reason statement issued by Tanzanian immigration talked about it

The reason for denying Mulinge was malice and hatred. Nothing more.
Vodacom has foreign owners. The exercise does not have to be conducted in Tanzania.
There is no CEO of a big company who is appointed without passing an interview.

Don't they share a mutual shareholder?
Vodafone, the owner of your Vodacom, conducted its recruitment exercise and settled on Mulinge.

And then Vodafone backed off when another owners, Rostam Aziz (17.5%) the public of Tanzania (25%) via DSE attested of the process being not transparent!

No. The majority shareholder replaced Mulinge because the local dictator refused to give her a work permit.
Even if the recruitment process is repeated 100 times, the majority shareholder's vote will carry the day.
So, kelele za Rostam ni kelele za chura.

Overseer does not mean overuler of board decisions. Not when the public is a minority shareholder.the public of Tanzania? the fact is the GoT an overseer of public interest stopped Mulinge's appointment! Now u have her to replace Bob Collymore!

Safaricom is not Vodacom. It is many times bigger.
The board will sit down and come up with candidates and eventually the best among them. Mulinge might be considered, but its not a must she gets the job.
Just because someone was right to run a 1 billion dollar company does not make her right to run a 10 billion dollar company.
At the moment, Michael Joseph returns.

Chozing a CEO is not by vote but by consensus. Even 1 dissenting voice is enough to rule out a candidate.
But since now kenya has the overhyped mamalishe, its time kenya puts its words into action and drop the hipocrisy
