When was interview conducted for Mulinge's appointment at Vodacom TZ?Idiot as usual. There is an appointment process. If Mulinge was shortlisted/interviewed and scored the highest mark, then why not.
But just because she came out on top in small Vodacom recruitment process, does not mean she will come out on top on MIGHTY Safaricom process.
Vodacom Tz did head hunting for Sylvia Mulinge, the best. When was interview conducted for Mulinge's appointment at Vodacom TZ?

Which board was that? Vodacom's or Safaricom's?Are you a board member at Vodacom?
Interviewing and recruiting top management is the work of the board.
They have no obligation to announce to you.
If you are looking for clerical employment, they might post adverts on newspapers.
Potential CEOs are a small pool. Suitable ones are head hunted, and the best among them gets the job.
Yaani watanzania wanatuchukia hivi mpaka kutetea alshabab walio wauua wakenya wengi... Aisee...
I can tell u there was no such an exercise at Vodacom's board. A reason statement issued by Tanzanian immigration talked about itAre you a board member at Vodacom?

And then Vodafone backed off when another owners, Rostam Aziz (17.5%) the public of Tanzania (25%) via DSE attested of the process being not transparent!Don't they share a mutual shareholder?
Vodafone, the owner of your Vodacom, conducted its recruitment exercise and settled on Mulinge.
And then Vodafone backed off when another owners, Rostam Aziz (17.5%) the public of Tanzania (25%) via DSE attested of the process being not transparent!
the public of Tanzania? the fact is the GoT an overseer of public interest stopped Mulinge's appointment! Now u have her to replace Bob Collymore! No. The majority shareholder replaced Mulinge because the local dictator refused to give her a work permit.
Even if the recruitment process is repeated 100 times, the majority shareholder's vote will carry the day.
Overseer does not mean overuler of board decisions. Not when the public is a minority shareholder.the public of Tanzania? the fact is the GoT an overseer of public interest stopped Mulinge's appointment! Now u have her to replace Bob Collymore!
Unfortunately Safaricom has chosen Michael Joseph again
Kenya telco Safaricom appoints Michael Joseph as interim CEO
The company held a special meeting on Monday following the death of Bob Collymore.www.theeastafrican.co.ke
17+25 is not a minority shareholder!Overseer does not mean overuler of board decisions. Not when the public is a minority shareholder.
Safaricom is not Vodacom. It is many times bigger.
The board will sit down and come up with candidates and eventually the best among them. Mulinge might be considered, but its not a must she gets the job.
Just because someone was right to run a 1 billion dollar company does not make her right to run a 10 billion dollar company.
At the moment, Michael Joseph returns.
Chozing a CEO is not by vote but by consensus. Even 1 dissenting voice is enough to rule out a candidate.No. The majority shareholder replaced Mulinge because the local dictator refused to give her a work permit.

I apologise, didn't mean to sound like all Tanzanians. I have some great Tz friends. The few that spoil the good neighbourliness we know of Tanzanians. You cannot accuse Tanzanians hating Kenyans using such a sweeping statement.
