Anyways kama hujajua, sisi wakenya hatuwezi ridhika na vile tupo sasa hivi as you can see with frequent demonstrations, tunajua tunayo uwezo wa ku improve kwa vitu nyingi sana, unlike you guys viongozi wenu wanawaambia tanzania isi ze besti mama samia isi ze besti dalesalama ni jiji bora duniani blah blah blah…ila mwajua sio kweli… sisi hatusemi Nairobi is perfect we are saying it doesn’t compare to Dar despite the things we need to improve.

Is there an organization called central banks kenya uganda tanzania? How can you have almost 1.5 million agents while Kenya having 360k agents but handling almost similar transactions.

Your data is okay, it however only covers until September. Kenya total for the year was $67b.

More importantly, your data only covers money transacted through agents.

You may not be familiar with Kenya, but unlike Bongolala and Uganda, most Kenyans stopped withdrawing cash from agents years ago.
Now even the local kiosk has a till number. The real mobile money transaction is in bill payments.

For context, Mpesa alone had revenues of Ksh140 Billion in 2023.
That's more revenue than the whole of Vodacom & Airtel Tanzania had combined.

Safaricom's mpesa business alone is bigger than the entirety of their businesses.
