The Nairobi Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system commenced construction in 2018. The first phase of the project, including the 19.5 km Thika Road corridor, was inaugurated in July 2022. The second phase, spanning 20 km of the Kenyatta Avenue/Ngong Road corridor, is planned to be completed later in the year.

Nchini Tanzania leo kumefanyika uzinduzi wa awamu ya kwanza ya mradi wa usafiri wa haraka wa mabasi, BRT uliotekelezwa kwa ufadhili wa Benki ya Dunia kwa lengo la kuondoa msongamano wa magari na hivyo kuharakisha huduma na ustawi wa jamii.
Akizindua mradi huo jijini Dar es salaam, Rais wa Tanzania John Magufuli ameshukuru benki hiyo na kuomba ifanikishe mchakato wa mkopo wa ujenzi wa barabara za juu na kwa wasimamizi wa BRT..

Naye Makamu wa Rais wa Benki ya Dunia kanda ya Afrika Makhatar Diop amesema BRT imeanza kuleta nuru maeneo ambako inapita na kwa kuwa ifikapo mwaka 2050 nusu ya idadi ya watu wa Tanzania watakuwa wanaishi mijini ..

There you go again.. English comprehension issues. Kenya BRT was proposed enzi za Moi ( JAICA - Japan did a comprehensive feasibility study) .. Kibaki regime took over. When Thika Highway was constructed , ( BRT was included in the road planning)… Kibaha Highway was your response to Thika Highway ( you already knew that). I give you credit that when you copy Kenya , sometimes you go an extra mile to make your project better ( that’s why you wait , we do first). The following projects were copied straight outta Kenya but with improved planning
