Battle for the East African skies as airlines get new fleets

Kafrican, don' t tell a Journo. at the Nationmedia couldn't get the right information on the subject. NYANG'AU greedy is all over in that report.

Kafrican, if at all that report was balanced he should hav given an insight on dvt at KQ like financial status from EOY Announcement or a sell off/retiring/leasing of 5 jets at throw away price aside painfully restructuring with looming retrenchment

What make you think tourists coming to TZ or business personnel in the oil sector must use Tanzania airways( that's if it will grow to international standards). In this case we should remember wherever the tourists are coming from there MAY be more efficient airlines already existing of which they prefer. And if its travelling within the country I guess tourists prefer moving around by road and for oil sector experts! They are few people who can comfortably hire a chopper.Airline business looks good on paper but in reality competition is tough from the 'big boys' in the sector.

I didn't say they must use Air Tanzania but i talked of a chance to tap at least a mln passengers out of those 3 mln passengers! Being the destination if right infrastructure is there! a thing TCAA and TAA and GOT r trying to set ready!

read the article again, start from the heading, this article is about regional airlines getting new planes,.... the first paragraph goes like...... Regional airlines are sprucing up their fleets with new aeroplanes. Ethiopian, Rwandan and Tanzanian airlines will receive new aircraft from next week.

---- KQ is not even mentioned, the only place it has been mentioned is that it flyies the same route, in this article, its ATL and Rwandair that have been discussed most, regardless of there revenue or assets, now if the article had talked about KQ, you would be here complaining of how kenyans like to talk about themseves and how we left only afew lines for ATL..... You only dont think if the article is balanced bcoz you only want to read what you want to read, this same newspaper has talked about KQ in thedc past, if you want those articles that talk abt KQ then you can look for them, but in this particular article, we are talking about things that concern the purchase of new fleets by regional airlines, and if kenya has not been talked abt in length that means that kenya isnt buying new fleets... AirUganda hasnt been mentioned probably for the same reason,so has burundi

let it be brother as long as it is out my influence, thanks for sharing, it is a great article anyway
