Hii ndo maana GDP yetu (the value of goods and services produced in one year) ni kubwa manake tuna produce vitu kwa wingi......
Hii ndio maana ukilinganisha what we import VS what we produce locally, Kenya(23%) na TZ(17%) hatujaachana mbali licha ya kwamba sisi tuna import mara 2.2 zaidi.

LOL so unanunua rawamaterial ya $17B

Unauza finished products za $6B then unajiona mjanja ahahaha

What we export is not directly related with what we import, So tukinunua raw material kama chuma haimaanishi kwamba tuta export chuma hicho hicho kama finished product...

Mbona hujaongelea kuhusu kuuza/kununua hapa ndani ya nchi???

The value of actual household consumption(Excludes commercial businesses) of goods and Services in Kenya is $71 Billion p.a while Tanzania only spends a measly $31B on household consumption of goods and Services.... Tofauti ni a freaking $40 Billion !!!!! Where do yo think the the raw materials for creating all that comes from , Turkana??

Household final consumption expenditure is, the market value of all goods and services, including durable products (such as cars, washing machines, and home computers), purchased by households during one year.

Lol how old are you? Your general total export trade is $6B and your general total import trade is $17B

You cannot add or substitute that figure by typing essays lol

Struggling for nonsense

Kenyan workers are the most productive in the region. Our goal must now be matching and overtaking our peers in Asia

Mimi nimekwama hapo kwa monkeys 🐡🐡. Eti gold would still be exported even if the whole of Tanzania was 99% made up of monkeys! πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ Hii ni kali. JF sihami anytime soon
I want whatever you guys are having. 20-0.

It's unfortunate that you have decided to look at it from one angle only - that of production. Who told you that everything that a country imports are raw materials that are used in producing goods to export to other countries? Some (if not most) of Kenya's imports are finished products.

Umepewa example na magari. Kenya imports vehicles two times of what Tanzania imports meaning that the middle class here is growing faster than in Tanzania leading to high vehicle sales. Are vehicles also raw materials? Mafuta tunaagiza nyingi because our consumption of the same is also much higher than yours.

Again, does Kenya import petroleum products for export purposes after processing it? The answer is no. All of it is consumed locally. So unaposema kwamba kenya imports more but exports less you, you are actually missing the point. It's true that we import more than we export but the bulk of the things we import is because our consumption of these products is higher compared to Tanzania

What you don't understand is that there's something called "local consumption". Not everything you import is supposed to act as a raw material to produce an entirely new product for export. You cannot important computers as a "raw material" to make another product out of it.

A computer is a FINISHED PRODUCT. In short, our local consumption is much higher than that of Tanzania. That is why what you import, we import it twice or thrice to meet the local demand

I have seen some obtuse comments on this forum but this takes the cake.

That one can have such a poor understanding of what imports and exports are and proudly share that ignorance on the internet is...amazing!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
