Bookworms of JF, what's your favorite book (s) and why?

Richest man in Babelon is my favourite book for now.It consist of many ideas about entrepreneurial, bussiness, investment, trade, account, culture, social and others. Its good for youth and rich people, even for poor it will help you to rise up your profit
Thank you, I read the book. it's really short. I really liked the style how it's written.

I've never had passion for reading books, tried here n' there but it all ended in vain. Back in the days I'd enter a subway/metro, only to find out that I was the only one staring at people, everyone was busy reading something (during the IPad/bookreaders era), I tried really hard to go along but nah!

Reading is a passion, can't force!!
Maybe you are just reading the wrong books. Try audio books or start with collection of short stories Mr. And if non of that works, books are not for you and there's no shame in that.

Hapo nimesoma tuu Song of lawino and ocol. Nimevetiwa na "Who will cry when you die" nitakitafuta. Au kama una soft copy yake naomba.
It's a real nice book as it reminds us to live our life fully and purposefully by discovering our calls, respect our instincts, practicing tough love, being honest, striving to be a better person and helping others for better or for worse.!!

My first novel outside of class study was 17 law of success by Napoleon Hill followed by Rich brother, rich sister by Robert kyosaki but my best book is the richest man in Babylon. This three books changed my mind and I had never picked my degree certificate since my graduation in 2013. Life is so good with reading books
Wow, Good.

I lost my mom 3yrs ago, it was pretty shattering and numbing. My friend recommended this book to me, "The Reptile Room" by Lemony Snicket. This is children's series of unfortunate event but I read them as an adult and helped me a ton.
At first I didn't want to accept that my mom is gone even after her funeral, but this quote helped me out to accept the reality,

"It is a curious thing, the death of a loved one. We all know that our time in this world is limited, and that eventually all of us will end up underneath some sheet, never to wake up. And yet it is always a surprise when it happens to someone we know."

This quote from the book also helped me when I thought I'd never be happy without her by my side and how to cope without her.

"I think we'll always miss our parents. But I think we can miss them without being miserable all the time. After all, they wouldn't want us to be miserable."

Since then, I hate to express my sadness, I would rather smile and show that everything is okay even if I feel depressed. I don't want my mom to worry about me because I know all she wants is for me to be happy.

This book has became the best book to me, followed by A grief observed by Lewis and Love, Aubrey by Suzzane Lafleur.

Nimesoma hadi kichwa kimeuma. Mambo magumu sana dogo hayo.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
"If someone isn't what others want them to be, the others become angry. Everyone seems to have a clear Idea of how other people should learn their lives, but none about his or her own".

"And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it".

"It's possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting ".

"When we love, we always strive to become better than we are, when we strive to become better than we are, everything around us become better too".

"There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve : fear of failure ".

"The secret of life, though is to fall seven times and get up eight times".

"I don't live in either my past or my future, I am interested only in the present. If you can concentrate always on the present, you will be a happy man. Life will be a party for you, a grand festival, because life is the moment we are living now." Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist.
