Have you ever read a book nonstop from the moment you woke up to the moment you went to bed?

For me, I think I've done this a good amount of times. I've done it for the Stormlight Archive books when I was near the end and I felt like I could marathon the rest of it. I also did it for the last Wheel of Time book during the infamously long chapter (if you've read the book you'll know what I'm talking about).
Has a book ever captured your attention so well you literally couldn't put it down all day?

I just spent the entire day reading Brandon Sanderson’s The Hero of Ages, which is the third book in his Mistborn era 1 series. I thought I was crazy for reading non stop for so long but seeing all these responses just makes me smile knowing that I’m not alone in my insane reading habits.

You guys are awesome!
I can relate.
Some authors can write an entertaining and suspenseful books. You just don't want it to ever end coz you stop seeing the words and just get into the flow of the story. You see, you feel youself as a character in a story.

However, some books do need a bit more mental processing than others. If It's a complex book.

King's writing style is incredibly easy to fall into like that. Because It's so beautifully written and incredibly enjoyable from start to finish.

I thoroughly enjoyed Stephen King's books, but Misery was what spurred me on to read the rest of his work. I was engrossed and bam, the day was gone. I only got up to pee and to eat. I couldn't take my eyes off it.

There are lots of books I've read in one sitting or two sitting. I can assure you I comprehend quite well what I am reading . Some stores make reading relaxing and enjoyable.

Hi,

I used to think that reading was boring until I found books that really sparked my interest. Reading became important to me because it’s fun and it teaches me new things. It keeps my mind active and inshape and it makes a difference for me if I go long periods without reading books, my mind starts to stagnate.

My favorite book of all the time is East of Eden by John Steinbeck. I liked this book and I loved every page of it. To be honest this is a masterpiece. To this day still is one of the best motivational book I’ve ever read. I enjoyed it for the massages it provides. I have been reading the book and just got to these quotes “And now that, you don’t have to be perfect you can be good.” And “ If you want to be straight allow yourself to be crooked” etc. Truthfully this book gave me a little inspiration to pursue my goals.

Another one is The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. It’s the funniest book I have ever read. I’ve read the book many times, but still makes me laugh. I will share favorite part that I found myself re-reading, you know, Said Arthur,” It's at times like this when I m trapped in a Vogon...... And about to die of asphyxiation in deep space that I really wish I’d listened to what my mother told me when I was young”

“Why, what did she tell you?”

Arthur “ I don’t know, I didn’t listen”.
It’s so insanely funny and It reminds me that you shouldn’t take life so damn seriously.

Do you have any favorite book(s) you real like? Tell us about it, based on how good the book was, and why you think it was the best, what is the favorite part in it?

For those who don’t like reading, y'all should know that reading is the good way to learn new things, to see things in another perspective and to expand your creativity and linguistic skills.

Welcome guys.

G’day.
The Bible. When I read the following books in the Bible it really inspires me a lot to know that our Sovereign God does not tolerate wickedness, but has a lot of patience. Pitifully we tend to ignore His patience, and, unwillingly ultimately He acts. Genesis 6:5-7 ; Genesis 7:23; Genesis 18:20; Genesis 19:13; 2Timoty 3:1-5; and 2Peter 3:9
