Pioneering interchanges?

My brother, these projects are funded through AfDB and WB loans. Thika highway improvement cost about $300m so is Dar es salaam BRT Phase I and II. It's not about pioneering, or having the ballz to construct your own s#!t. It's a loan! The type of Loan from Multinationals dealing with backward countries like ours.

Tanzania could've chosen to build interchanges and Kenya could've chosen to build a Rapid Trans System.

The three levels you are talking about at Pangani interchange are synonymous to calling a house with a basement, a two-storey or two floors house. While it makes sense (since there are two floors) but it falls short of the perceived meaning. That is just a 200m tunnel.

When Kasarani Stadium was opened by Moi, I bet y'all used to say "We are pioneers in building stadiums". Now you need one, don't you?

All in all, what if Kenya built the first 4-level flyover in East Africa? Or Tanzania built the first rough-ryder condoms factory in East Africa? It means nothing!!, we are all backward and corrupt trying to show-off.

It's like trying to figure-out who is the tallest Midget.
good..i like dat

Long time, no see my brother!
Now, the fact that these projects were realized thru the loans from those lending institutions doesnt make them less of an achievement. From the tenor of your argument, I cant help deducing that u regard all these as nothing more than aid.
These international lending bodies exist to help countries, not just the lowly developed ones such as ours meet their target development goals. Even the most developed economies once depended on loans, and they still do.

May I inform u that the fact that Kenya was able to access those huge loans that enabled it realize these infrastructural development projects is an achievement in itself, for it says a lot about the state of the country's economy. The positive state of health of the country's economy is contingent to its credit worthiness.

Finally, its not like it is these lending bodies that see our problems, and work out the solutions for us. Those are tasks incumbent upon the authorities of the individual countries. Kenya realized its handicaps, came up with its smart solutions and then turned to the banks for assistance.

These cargo trains are still in use in China and several other countries around the world today. They helped power-steer the chinese economy to the level that it is in today, why wont it help Kenya's?
These are cargo trains, and generically they are not always "beautiful", they always look ragged like that. U can check out even the US freight trains.

The new Kenya Passenger trains will look like this however

Tena isitoshe other level 3 interchanges ndani ya Mombasa Na zengine Nairobi Kama kule outering , are already under construction as we speak wakati nyinyi bado mko kwa stage ya Ku sign contract
nyinyi=ninyi, bado mko kwa stage = bado mpo kwenye hatua. Kenya tuachieni Kiswahili chetu

Dar inaendelea kwa kasi sana. Which is a good thing, lakini Nairobi imeendelea zaidi. Mnachopanga kunjenga kishanjegwa Nairobi. Lakini its good to see you guys are doing something, unlike Kampala
kunjenga = kujenga, kishanjengwa = kilikwisha kujengwa. Kenya msituchafulie lugha yetu

nyinyi=ninyi, bado mko kwa stage = bado mpo kwenye hatua. Kenya tuachieni Kiswahili chetu
mbona umechanganyikiwa, ninyi ni kiswahili chenu cha bongo hicho, si chetu...utapia mlo unakusumbua nini. first off all, kasome historia ya kiswahili, 2nnd, jukwaa la lugha liko kuleee upande mwingine
