Study inaonyesha hakuna haja ya SGR hadi mwaka wa 2030 ndo tutakua tumefikisha critical mass.... Alafu hapo hatuongelei faida za reli, tunaongelea kma reli mpya ya SGR inahitajika kwa sasa VS kukarabati reli ya kitambo na tuzitumie hadi 2030!!!!
 
Watanzania kwa ushabiki hamna mpinzani.... Wapi imeandikwa au imesemekana kwamba mtajenga stesheni upya huko mbeleni na zitakua kubwa na nzuri zaidi?

Alafu, hata kama mtakuja kujenga stesheni kubwa huko mbeleni.....Unaelewa hio itakua ni gharama mara mbili? Zile stesheni mlizojenga kwa sasa hazijawekewa mitikadi yeyote for "future expansion" yani itabidi mbomoe stesheni, muondoe msingi wa stesheni kisha muanze upya kujenga tena.... hebu sasa niambie stupid ni nani kati ya sisi tulio na 'future proof' project yetu hata abiria waongezeke hakuna haja ya kubomoa stesheni.

Kwahivyo msikue watu wa kupiga domodomo tu kana kwamba nyinyi pekee ndo mna uwezo wa kufikiria..... Tulipiga hesabu zetu , na tulipojenga hizo stesheni tulikua na sababu zake..... Lakini watanzania wakiona stesheni hizo wanaanza kuziingilia kwasababu zenu ni ndogo ndogo eti hamnaga show off za kijinga kijinga... Je mtasema nini mkianzisha reli yenu mwaka ujao alafu mwaka mmoja baadae mgundue vi stesheni vidogo havitoshi kitu hadi watu wanasongamana nje ya stesheni wakingojea treni??? Si mambo yatakua yamegeuka sasa ni sisi wakenya ndo tunawaambia mna ya kujifunza kutoka kwetu!!!??? Manake itakua mnahitaji upanuzi wa stesheni mwaka mmoja tu baada ya kuzindua reli! Ndio maana nimewaambia mara nyingi hapa JF, subirini reli yenu ianze kufanya kazi kabla muanze kukashifu reli za wenzenu ambazo tayari ziko kazini.!

Kwa upande wa abiria SGR Kenya imesha faulu, Stesheni ni kubwa lakini zinatumika vilivyo hapo hakuna shida. Shida ilioko ni kwa upanze wa mizigo ambako changamoto tele lakini kila siku tunajaribu kupiga hatua na kusonga mbele.... Kwasasa tuko 3 million tonnes, lakini kulingana na feasibility study tunafaa tufikishe 10-11 million tonnes by 2023-2024... kwahivyo kibarua kiko.... Ukilinganisha na huko kwenu ambako hakuna mwananchi wa kawaida anajua projections zozote za mnafaa kubeba mizigo mingapi mwaka wa kwanza au wa pili au miaka kumi kutoka sasa, kila siku mnapigiwa hadithi za vile "esgiara itapunguza gharama ya uchukuzi na kuboresha usafiri" lakini hakuna mtu anatoa takwimu zozote!!!

Hatuhitaji ku-debate kuhusu hilo. Masharti ya mikopo ya China yanaeleweka. I repeat, we don't need that debate. Yawezekana mlifanya feasibility studies hata 100 prior, ila kwenye miradi ya hao watu wenye tumacho tudogo masharti yao ya msingi ndiyo hayo. Feasibility yao, contractor wao, na consultant wao pia. Hapo ndiyo wanamruhusu Exim au mnyonyaji mwingine akupe pesa.
 
Kuwa mwelewa basi we jamaa. Siyo kuwa feasibility studies hazikufanywa before. The thing ni kuwa zinakuwa ignored kama reference kwenye negotiations na project implementation. Reference inakuwa kwa feasibility wanazofanya wao (wachina).

Hiyo trash ya WB sijui umeileta ya nini hapa. Tatizo mnawakubali sana hao maberu. Essence ya infrastructure siyo tu kusafirisha vitu vilivyopo. Bali pia kuwezesha shughuli mpya kuanzishwa au zilizopo kukua. Wanajua tukiwa na modern & efficient infrastructure kwenye long run tutatusua na kuota mapembe.

Uganda to overhaul old rail network to boost capacity

Uganda is reportedly planning to revamp its 100-year old railway lines to improve cargo transport in the country.
Uganda Railways Corporation MD Charles Kateeba said that the work will be executed in stages and will entail an investment of €241m ($267m).

The corporation has reportedly received €21.5m from the EU and planning to raise remaining funds from international development lenders.

The 1,266km meter-gauge rail line was built by the British during colonial times 100 years ago to transport copper from the country.

The condition of the rail network deteriorated due to economic instability and political upheaval.
Kateeba said: “Due to lack of maintenance over the years, most of the network is now in disuse.

“We shall replace some areas which have been either removed by vandals or are badly worn.”
French engineering firm Sogea-Satom has been selected to provide services to revamp the rail network.

The work includes fixing rocks ballast on different sections, flattening sections, re-laying of tracks and repairing 500 freight wagons.

The latest decision comes after Uganda failed to garner funding of $2.2bn from China for of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) regional project.

Kateeba stated that Uganda’s delay in oil production was a factor in not receiving the funds.
Initially, the SGR was designed to connect Kenya’s Mombasa with different parts of the continent such as Uganda, South Sudan, Rwanda and Burundi.

In 2017, Kenya inaugurated its Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway.

China Road and Bridge was responsible for the construction of this $3.8bn project, with approximately 90% of the total funding coming from China.

Station za katikati huwa zinaoparate ndani ya muda mchache sana baada ya hapo huwa tupu kbs manager anaweza enda hata shamba kulima,ni bora hata hizi station zenu za kati kubwa kubwa mngeziweka karibu na makazi ya watu at least mngezisapoti na shughuli nyingine ndogo ndogo za kiuchumi,njooni mjifunze kwetu like Dar es Salaam station haitakuwa tu kwa ajili ya kuhudumia train peke yake kuna mavitu kibao na iko mjini kbs probably lazima pakuche tu pabang noma sana the iconic!!!! bado nakwambia sisi hatujengi tu kurupu kurupu tunaangalia faida za kiuchumi kwny eneo husika kwa wkt huo eti full booked basi kesho itabidi mbomoe mjenge station mpya huko maporini maana zishaelemewa already!!!!!Anyway ushamba pia ni mzigo sishangai.

We unakaa hata hauelewe una sema nini...... Kuna treni moja ambayo ni express-train inasafiri kutoka Nrb-Mombasa pekeyake. Hii train sijaiongelea hapo.

Hapo juu uliona nimekuwekea safari za kutoka stesheni hadi stesheni ikiwemo na umeona kuna zengine ni fully booked na zengine bado zina nafasi kidogo imebaki...... What this means is, (Angalia kwa map ndo uelewe) Train ikiwa fully booked na wateja wa Mombasa wanaoenda Voi, hii inamaanisha wateja wa Mairakani watapata train imejaa wakijaribu ku book from Mariakani, Lakini kwa vile system inajua kwamba kuna wateja 100 watashuka Voi, hio inamaanisha wateja wa Kuanzia Voi kwenda mbele wakijaribu ku book wataona kwamba kuna safasi 100 ziko empty.. Ndo maana hapo juu nilikuonyesha screenshopt za kutoka stesheni tofauti..... Sasa sijui unamaanisha nini ukisema ni gimmics kama treni mbili (moja express na nyengine inaenda ikisimama) zinapiga safari nne kwa siku na zote hua zimejaa!!!
