Get to know the meaning of marshalling yard first SGR will get to Dar port! The current BRT to Mbagala is even having an overpass to allow SGR to go under! Hatukurupuki in planning these things mzee!Ushahidi uko wapi?
Marshaling yard ya SGR iko 90kf from Dar port!
Bado una ruka ruka tu, kwn ukisema hujaelewa utakufaNi kama uwe na barabara yenye load limit ya 100 tons halafu ujitambe unaweza unaweza kubeba cargo zaidi ya mwenye barabara ya load limit 150 tons! Akili za Kariobangi ndo hudanganywa hivyo! If axle load is 25 tons that means 100 axle loads per wagon moving at 80km/h! There is no way u can claim of having more load capacity than one with axle load of 35 tons and subsequently 140 tons per wagon and yet having electrical engines that can pull a 2 km long train and moving at 120 km/h! Even turn around/dwelling time aside traffic is lower for a faster train with a bigger axle load! The maths n law of Physics don't add up! May be Chinese way of conning Kunyans!

Mimi nimekwambia vile Ethiopia iko na umeme mwingi hadi inauzia Kenya 400MW na bado wako na blackouts... Kwahivyo hio inaonyesha shida si ukosefu wa umeme Shida iko kwa distribution kutoka kwa power plant hadi pale umeme unapohitajika......
Kwahivyo haufai kunipigia hadithi za vile mnajenga power plants nyingi au vile hamna power rationing siku hizi .... Hio si issue, unafaa kunipigia hadithi za vile stima hua haikatiki Tanzania... Manake kama stima hua ina katika kirahisi haswa kwa viwanda na kampuni za kibinafsi ambao hua sana sana wanasambaziwa umeme kwenye line spesheli za high voltage, hio inaashiria kwamba kuna tatizo kwa Upande wa Tanesco kusambaza umeme kwahivyo haitakua jambo la ajabu stima ikikatika kama uko juu ya SGR.
Lakini si ati nawaombea vibaya, kwamba stima ikatike kila mwezi.... ninachosema ni kwamba usikashifu reli ya Kenya na yenu haijaanza kufanya kazi.... manake kuna wengine kule Ethiopia hadi sasa wanapiga treni tatu za mizigo kwa siku miaka 3 baadaye. Kwahivyo usione magazeti ya Kenya yanakosoa KRC kila siku ukadhani eti kwenu operation zitakua nyweeee....
Kitu cha kwanza naweza kukwambia bure bila kulipwa... Kwasasa sijaona SGR ikijengwakuelekea portya DAR. Marshaling yard ya Dar iko 90km fromthe port. That means mzigo ukifika port most likely utapakiwa kwa MGR hadi marshaling yard, ukifika marshaling yard upakuliwe ndo upakiwe kwa SGR. Hapo tayari kutakua na changamoto zinawangojea..

Mind you, Nairobi SGR station sits on a 58,000 m.q area, but the station itself is 21 meters high and 21,000 m.sq
This makes Nairobi SGR station twice as big as Dar station!!!!! So Dar station is not the biggest in EA, maybe the 3rd biggest After Nairobi and Mombasa Station!
