Mradi wa commuter train ya jiji la dodoma ( yaani treni za mjini) wa kilometer 100 upo hatua za mwisho za usanifu.

Reli hiyo ya mjini itaunganisha Airport itakayojengwa ya msalato, mji wa serikali kula mtumba, stendi ya mabasi ambako pia kuna soko la ndugai pamoja na stendi ya SGR kule ihumwa kuingia na kupitia mjini.

Majirani mjiandae tu kisaikolojia.

Tanzania Intermodal and Rail Development Project(TIRP)


Tanzania Intermodal and Rail Development Project (TIRP) is the World Bank funded project for the revival of the metre gauge railway network in Tanzania. This project is financed by the World Bank at US$300million.

Objectives of the Project
To provide a reliable open access infrastructure on the Dar es Salaam Port and Isaka segment of the Metre gauge Central Line.

About the Project
Project intends to rehabilitate Railway from Dar es Salaam to Isaka (970km) to increase its capacity of carrying freight from 13.5 Tones axle load to 18.5 axle load.

  • To construct new 80pound rail covering 312km.
  • To rehabilitate 658km railway.
  • To rehabilitate 442 bridges and culvets.
  • To improve communications system.
  • Rehabilitation of freight loading and offloading stations at Dar es Salaam Port, Ilala and Isaka Dry Port.
  • Other than rehabilitating the rail, under this project, 3 Locomotives, 44 wagons and tamping machines are being procured and repairing of two Locomotives.

Progress of the Project
  • This project involves the rehabilitation of the Meter Gauge Railways.
  • It involves two sections, from Dar es Salaam to Kilosa(283km) and from Kilosa to Isaka(687km).
  • Both section already have contractors and construction will commence on June 2018.
  • The project is now on Mobilization stage.
Issues to consider during the Project
  • Business arround railway stations without permit is strictly prohibited.
  • Business permits are available at the stations for free.
  • Pastoral activities are highly prohibited along the project sites.
  • Farmers are ordered to stop farming activities along the project site.
  • Heathy caution, it is necessary to all residents surrounding the project to avoid unprotected sex so as to reduce sexual transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnant.
  • Any abusive acts should be reported immediately to government offices or through our contact addresses.
  • Avoid sitting, staring or crossing rail sections, it’s dangerous.
  • Citizens are advised to take opportunities created in the project as a wakeup call.

Air Tanzania naunga mkono ili mradi JPM aache kuleta Siasa kwenye uendeshaji wake. ATCL itakuwa na mchango mkubwa kiuchumi hasa ikiongeza safari nyingi za kimataifa.
Mfano, bila ya kufanya utafiti wowote JPM alipokuwa Katavi akaropoka Air Tanzania ianze kwenda Mpanda. Mtindo huu ni jeneza kwa ATCL.

Kukarabati MGR hata TZS trillioni 1 haifiki.
Ukarabati unakikomo chake, je, unaweza kuziba matobo yaliyojaa kwenye nguo (kuu kuu)? Si ni bora ununue nguo mpya?

Hiyo reli ilijengwa mwaka 1905, ilibuniwa kwenda kwa mwendokasi mdogo na kuhimili uzito mdogo kutokana na tekinolojia na mahitaji ya wakati ule. Sasa mahitaji yameongezeka, na huwezi kuiboresha kwenda mwendo wa 120km/hr, itabidi ufumue kona kona zote na kuzinyoosha ili treni isije anguka. Kufanya hivyo ni gharama kubwa kitu ambacho hakina tija.
Tungejiuliza kwa nini tumefeli kwenye MGR na TAZARA kabla ya kuwa na ndoto kubwa zisizo na uhalisia.
Hili lilikuwa ni suala la viongozi wa shirika kukosa ubunifu.

Dar - Moro Project


Contract for phase one of Dar es Salaam – Morogoro 300 kilometers Standard Gauge Railways signed on 3rd of February 2017, construction works commenced on 2nd May 2, 2017. The project expected to complete on 2nd of November 2019.

Project Budget

2.7 Tanzania Trillions of Shillings are spent for Dar es Salaam – Morogoro SGR Line Project.

Bridge Construction

A 2.56 Kilometers Viaduct Bridge is constructed in Dar es Salaam City Center to Ilala Shaurimoyo to avoid traffic.

Total of 26 Large Bridges and 243 Small bridges are constructed from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro. Also, there will be 17 Overpasses and 15 Underpasses for People, animals and Vehicles

Station Works

Six (6) Stations are constructed between Dar es Salaam and Morogoro, there will be 2 Major Stations at Dar es Salaam and Morogoro and intermediate stations at Pugu, Soga, Ruvu and Ngerengere. Station designs are based on Tanzania environment, Culture and Natural resources found including Minerals.

Electrification Line

SGR trains will use electricity for moving Locomotive.

Telecommunication & Signaling

Trains operations will use European Train Control System Level 2 to ensure safety and efficacy in SGR operation activities at the Main Control Room at Dar es Salaam main Station.

Main Workshop and Marshalling Yard

Main Workshop and Marshalling Yard for Shunting Block trains is constructed at Kwala in Coast region.

In my opinion here is where the SGR to the port will branch out and heading to Kurasini BP/Gerezani area! That open space after Kawawa road is to allow SGR cargo line to go underpass!

In my opinion here is where the SGR to the port will branch out and heading to Kurasini BP/Gerezani area! That open space after Kawawa road is to allow SGR cargo line to go underpass!

kuelekea Kariakoo au Keko mpaka mitaa ya nyuma ya quarters za Reli club ama pale penye Tanzania boxing association! Ndo hiyo inaenda Bandarini na ndo njia hiyo SGR line ya Bandarini itapita naamimini patapanuliwa ndo maana ile njia ya PB kuelekea Kurasini kunajengwa njia overpass!
