The Late Samuel Sitta is not Tanzania Transport Minister!
ICYMI, he was at some point during JK regime. In fact during his tenure as transport Minister, TZ was on a verge to start construction of SGR using the Chinese debt deal, Kenyan style. Luckily, the deal was swiftly canceled by JPM and a conoetetitive construction tender floated....

Hii SGR, LNG na Bandari ya Bagamoyo vingeanza enzi za JK tungekua na hali mbaya sana km inchi...Luckly God gave us his excellece JPM...tungekua tumepigwa huku tuna mzigo wa madeni unatuelemea. Sometime ni bora kuchelewa ila ufike salama...bt now naona JK anarudi kwa mgongo wa mum, anataka kumalizia pale alipoishia...This is purely Treason.

Light train is ur foot dimwit!

From Lagos to Ibadan the distance is 131km n u call that a light train? Which light train travels that long distance?

if that's 👆 a light train how about this 👇

First of all, Kubali kwamba you posted a pic of Kenya freight train and compared it with Lagos Light rail, sahii umerudi na picha ya treni tofauti baada ya kurealize ushamba wako.

And for the sake of comparison, Hizi hapa ndo treni za mizigo za Nigeria, Ni sawa na zetu za Kenya! Nigeria walinununua vichwa tisa(9), Kenya ilinunua vichwa arubaini na tano (45)

iu

And for avoidance of confusion, Hii hapa ndo kichwa cha treni ya abiria ya Kenya, Hii moddel inaijulikana kama DF11G na ilizundiliwa 2005
iu

According to reports, the contract was awarded to CRRC Qishuyan to supply 4 NDJ3(N) DMUs, 6 DF11G(N) passenger locomotives, 9 DF8B(N) freight locomotives and 2 DF7G(N) shunting locomotives for the Lagos – Ibadan Railway and Abuja – Kaduna Railway.

Kwa hii picha ya kwanza unaona hiyo DF11G ya Nigeria
Kaduna-rail.jpeg

As you can see wameagizia treni tofauti tofauti lakini nyingi ni hiyo model ya Kenya, Hizi picha zilichukuliwa huko china before being shipped to Nigeria

While hio Model ya Nigeria ya NDJ3 ni nzuri kimaumbile, inashindwa na DF11G ya Kenya kwa performance.

Hii hapa comparizon, DF11G Outperforms the Nigerian NDJ3 Locomotive in all the aspects that mater except for looks, probably the main reason why Nigeria chose more of them.

BTW, looking at the comparison I can already see why Kenya didn't end up choosing the NDJ3, It has a fuel tank capacity of 5500L, which is ideal for short routes like the Nigerian route which is 150km, While the DF11G that Kenya has provides for 2 fuel Tanks each with a capacity for 7500L enough to take you 700km from Mombasa to Naivasha!
