Reli ya 17 Million tonnes itishie reli ya 22 Million 🙄.. Sisi tulisha enjoy vya kutosha sahii kwetu ni jambo la kawaida tu, nyinyi huko ndo bado mko kama sisi zile enzi za 2016 ambapo tulikua over exited mpaka ilikua hii thread haikai 5 minutes bila new update.
 
KNBS latest economy data Shows SGR freight performance from Jan to May 2021, If you compare last years performance from Jan to May 2020, the SGR carried 1,597,471 tones of cargo compared to this years 2,309,311 over the same 5 months. (And in case you were wondering, in 2019 the SGR did about 3.5 Million tones)



Na ukichukua hio data ya mwaka huu so far 2,309,311 tones hadi May, if you divide by 5 Months --> 2,309,311/5 = 461,862, Unapata average ya 461,862 tones per month, Ukichukua hio average ya per months na unafute projecttion ya mwaka inakua 461,862 * 12 = 5,542,346... Kwahivyo if things stay the same mwisho wa Mwaka tutarajie SGR itakua imebeba angalau 5.5million tones which will officially be more cargo than Meter Guage Rail's carrying capacity which is 5 Million tones maximum (tena hii 5 Million tones ni ile designed capacity in 1901 --- not today).

Kwahivyo wale wanaopenda kusema sijui MGR ingefanya kazi ya SGR wajue kwamba ingekua ishafika mwisho wa uwezo wake mwaka huu... MGR is just to complement the SGR by providing last mile connection, but can never be the future.
Sasa kama SGR ishafikisha 5.5 Million tones in four years na kila mwaka inaongeza angalau 1 million tones more, je ikifika 2030 itakua tumefikisha tani ngapi kwa SGR??? Tafakari hayo
