It might take another two years for this Tanzanian train to become operational since your stiglers gorge dam will consume alot of time to become complete. And remember that it won't be of any economic sense since it's mainly passenger oriented as we know electric wagons handle minimal cargo and it doesn't make sense to link a big city like dar with morogoro the size of Voi. I mean what important thing takes place in morogoro???

Kwani waanza kujua leo kwamba Container ni mali ya importer? Na kama Importer hakununua contena, basi hua inaregeshwa kama empty container hadi kule ilikotoka.
Alafu ushasahau mwezi uliopita tukiargue about dedicated cargo yard kwa SGR nilikwambia kampuni inayoitwa GBHL iko na 7 km branch kutoka kwa SGR main line hadi ndani ya kiwanda chao, kampuni yoyote ikitaka inaweza kufanyiwa extension ya SGR hadi ndani ya kiwanda


Hizi contena spesheli zinaweza kufunguliwa na juu, na pia zinaweza kufunguliwa na upande wa chini

Alafu bado kuna ESIA report ambayo inapropose kujenga SGR branches to dedicated Fertilizer, clinker and coal and container terminals in Athi River where there are alot of cement factories and warehouses for various industries

2.3 Planned Scope of Works
The construction phase of the project will entail various works that can be categorized in to mechanical works, electrical and instrumentation works and civil works. Being a new site at Athi River, downtime shall not need to be considered. The initial proposal is to fabricate majority of the structural works off-site at a designated area for hot works. These shall then be connected on site so as to have ample working space.

To enable handling of bulk cargo consisting of fertilizer, clinker and coal in Athi River, a storage terminal needs to be constructed together with all associated conveyor systems as below:

The mechanical and piping engineering work to be carried out shall include:
  • Construction of Standard gauge railway siding to enable trains to come to site with loaded cargo;
  • Installation of two(2) Bagged fertilizer warehouses;
  • Installation of one (1)Bulk fertilizer warehouse;
  • Installation of one (1) Clinker warehouse;
  • Installation of one (1) Coal warehouse
  • Installation of two (2)wagon unloading stations

We mwenyewe ndo ulisema uonyeshwe wapi kwa SGR ya Kenya tuko na direct lines to factories, sasa nimekuonyesha tena nikakuongezea na proposed projects za ku connect viwanda zaidi, unaruka kwa MGR, Kwani unafikiri MGR ya Kenya ndo haifiki kwa viwanda?
