Rail over Rail nayo ni celebration,
Hizi nugu zilisomea wapi aki
daraja la magari mlishindwa kujenga ndo uongelee daraja la train?

Rail over rail is state of the art design! Aside that here is the largest, most modern and tallest SGR train station in the whole of East and central Africa!

The tallest SGR station in EA is Miritini and the largest is Syokimau. Both are more modern and beautiful than that cowshed.

and yet not electrified n SGR track not joint welded!

While Mombasa-Naivasha diesel SGR track length 609+120= 726 km is $3.8+1.5= $5.4 bln, our Dar-Makutupora SGR track length of over 700km (305km SGR I+409km SGR II) of electrified joint welded SGR is $3.1 (1.2 SGR I + 1.9 SGR II) bln as TL is not part of the TRC cost but part of Tanesco's costs! As for structures the Ruvu bridge across swampy Ruvu basin is 3 km n Dar viaduct is 2 km! As for tunnels there r also tunnels (whose lengths are T1 424 m, T2 1.031 m, T3 318 m and T4 847 m) for Morogoro -Makutupora with a total length of 2.6 km!
Didn't I just write a whole paragraph on how the cost of TZ SGR does not account for everything while the cost of Kenya's SGR account for everything!!!!!! And here you are again listing things that are in your SGR.. WTF! Are you really this dumb to understand??? Where is the cost of the TL, Cost of Trains, Cost of wagons and coaches, Cost of sending professionals to learn railway engineering abroad...??????

Dar -Moro SGR is $1.2 bln! U r talking of poles inside perimeter wall but I see none of that to call a dedicated TL for ur SGR! U r simply naive to say the electrification cost was covered within that $3.8 bln figure! If so, then why this signing happened? here they say Mombasa Nairobi costed Kshs 447 bln meaning above that $3.8 bln mark! That means $4.47 bln + 0.24 bln leads to $4.71 bln for 628 km track of SGR!

I think you have a comprehention problem Geza, get yourself checked out, manake naona vitu vinapita sikio moja na vinatoka sikio lengine.... Hii ndio commet nilioweka

Do you sometimes just pretend to be oblivious or is it an actual real thing? You seem to completely miss the point on this issue, I thought you would have got it by now, but you haven't.
This is not about if tanesco is building other TLs, this is about one specific TL built for the SGR and who should pay for it!

Kenya's SGR might not be elelectric, but from Mombasa-Nairobi there is a 32kv continuous power supply line (which is the equivalent of the 220kv TL bieng built by Tanesco) thats powers the sensors, traffic control systems, stations along the line, the cost of this continuous power line was part of the contract with CCCC/CRBC. even though the line is maintained by KPLC! This is what i'm talking about, where in Tanzania, its tanesco that will foot the bill of that TL thats is exclusively built for the SGR.

If you have never noticed, there are concrete electric poles inside the perimeter fence of Kenyas SGR, those power lines go from Mombasa the way to Nairobi, the cost of that power line was included in the contract together with other things, unlike in TZ where the construction contract excludes other expenses of which without them the rail won't work. e.g Trains, Wagons, TL...etc

----end quote----

Nilisema very clearly, kwamba reli ya Kenya kuna 32kv continuous power line ambayo inatumika ku power stations, sensors...etc this 32kv line is essetially the equivalent of the 220kv line in Tanzania the only difference is that in Kenya, the line was part of the funding.....

Can u show me those poles for TL? And if what u say is true why ur government signed a loan of $240 mln for SGR electrification? Was that for fighting hunger?

Kwahivyo Tanzania is not the first in the region

And speaking of firsts, Kenya tume achieve alot many firsts kwa SGR, hadi sasa hakuna nchi inafanya Double-stack containers in Africa!

So there is no existing TL from Kinyerezi to Morogoro? Electrification means dedicated TL for SGR! Where u not arguing about already existing TL in Tanzania? Can u substantiate that any TL at all was covered with that $4.4 bln SGR?

BTW what was that $240 mln signed for? Ni mnaibiwa kipumbavu hivyo?

However, Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) managing director Mr Atanas Maina said in a television interview last month that the country lacks the reliability of supply needed to sustain the operation of an electrified railway. “It was something that we would love to have, however, the country does not have a dependable source of electricity,” he says.

Ketraco says power for the SGR will be provided by geothermal plants, reducing CO2 emissions from train operations to zero.

Electrification is due to be completed within 28 months.

It may be called the Tanzania-Zambia Railway of the new era and is becoming a new symbol of the friendship between China and Kenya and between China and Africa. As a good friend, good partner and good brother of Africa, China has always fully respected Africa and helped Africa build infrastructure and accelerate economic and social development in accordance with the needs of African countries, which has brought tangible benefits to African countries and people. This is also the fundamental reason why China-Africa cooperation has been welcomed by African countries.

On January 10, China State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said this!

Wang Yi: Mombasa-Nairobi Railway can be a new symbol of China-Africa friendship
2020/01/11

On January 10, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi took the Mombasa-Nairobi standard gauge railway (SGR) passenger train during his stopover in Kenya to inspect the construction and operation of the cooperation project.
According to the SGR operation team, with a total distance of 472 kilometers, the SGR is the first standard gauge railway completed in Africa, which was designed using Chinese technology, standard, equipment and funding. The project created a total of 30,000 local jobs during construction. AfriStar, a locally registered company was set up to run the SGR, with 2,248, or nearly 80%, of its employees from Kenya. Four passenger trains run on a daily basis. Since its opening in May 2017, the SGR has carried 4 million passengers, with an average attendance rate of 95%. Sixteen freight trains run on an average daily basis, and nearly 6 million tons of cargo was transported in 2019, up 70% compared with 2018. According to the operation team, the SGR passes through Kenya's largest conservation park, Tsavo National Park. The SGR has become a charming sight on the African continent. It has not only addressed the urgent local transport needs and significantly reduced transport costs, but also met high standards of environmental requirements and effectively boosted the coastal tourism and economic development of Kenya, rapidly driving the growth of passenger demand. The trains are often packed and it's hard to get a seat.

Wang Yi exchanged views with the railway operation team and gave full recognition to the successful construction and operation of this project. Wang Yi said, this project provides a fresh example for Chinese enterprises that operate and develop overseas, and valuable experience for upgrading China's cooperation with other countries. The SGR has been a great success. It is warmly welcomed by the Kenyan people and well received by all sectors of society.

Wang Yi said, the SGR is a benchmark for the mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation between China and Africa, and it is also the result of the joint efforts to develop cooperation under the "Belt and Road Initiative." These are powerful facts that render all accusations against China-Africa cooperation pale and feeble.
